Posts: 1,642 Group: Admins Member #63 Joined: 01/15/08	While reading all of this, it really escapes me how illuminate doesn't understand our position on this and how it relates to NAFTA. Basically, all of the various issues we discuss on this forum, save a few, are linked to our understanding of just how serious of a problem fascism is. Or call it corporatism, if you like. The merger of corporations and governments is dangerous. You get a few powerful corporate folks basically deciding who the presidential candidates are, and the people think they are choosing. Not so! You then have NAFTA and other agreements which, by getting rid of some of the regulations that constrained corporations (the way it should be), grants them the ability to do as they wish and gain more power over governments, ours and the governments of the lands they relocated to. Also, you have these task-force meetings where government officials are making deals with corporations to make the world more profitable for them. These corporations want fewer rules, no borders, no taxes... no obligation to the people of the world, whatsoever. THAT'S what we're worried about here. It's not that we are anti-government. It's that we are anti-fascism, and everywhere you look, fascism is encroaching on government. We want fair and just government. The Declaration of Independence can almost litterally be transposed over our current state of affairs. We need to fix the government, and fast!
