there's probably more personal connections between Eisenberg and Silverstein.
Interesting how Eisenberg and Port Authority decide to lease the WTC complex, two big players, Vornado Trust and Silverstein make bids, then high bidder Vornado withdraws (why?) and lucky larry takes it, insures it to the hilt vs terrorism.
These are men connected not only by money and business relations, but by more.
I agree. The people involved in the WTC deal seem to be a cozy bunch. All of them are very well-connected. It seems like a group of friends arranging for the WTC to go to their other friends. Ronald Lauder and Silverstein are both friends of Benjamin Netanyahu. Lewis Eisenberg is on the UJA with Silverstein. Frank Lowy is partners with Silverstein and was investigated for a scandal involving Ehud Olmert.
