That is an intriguing concept. If an individual is born a pagan in Eastern Europe and then converts to a particular religion, he and all his offspring have a superior claim to a piece of land none of his ancestors have ever been to over the people actually living on the land.

You could not make this stuff up if you tried.

That is not the way it ( the religious texts ) was written. Back then you were either a Jew or Gentile and conversion was not an option.
