That is the question here. I've had people hit me and if there was no mark, no foul. That's how the police gather evidence of an assault... did the assault cause damage and therefore proven to have happened? So if someone punches you as you are walking down the street but there is no real injury that is not assault. Are you sure? Listen I doubt if he actually hit the girl but I can't understand how no one sees that Chewbaccas remarks are out of line. chewbacca's comments not withstanding, you've completely misinterpreted my post. What I meant is that legally, if there is no evidence of an assault, then there was none. That is not the same as suggesting that it is okay to hit someone if there is no evidence left behind. We need evidence before anyone is accused of a violent act.
