This request is pursuant to Executive Order #13,392. The order has been codified as the “Openness Promotes Effectiveness in our National Government Act of 2007 (S. 2488),” or the “OPEN Government Act of 2007” The bill was signed into law by the President on Monday, December 31, 2007. See, http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2007/12/20071231-4.html On 17 Jan 2008, you indicated that a response was forthcoming "within the next two weeks." I requested an update of the Fee Waiver Request and for the actual underlying data. Please inform me concerning the status of the data search and of the fee waiver appeal. I will forward this to the general FOIA appeal address as well as to the Inspector General. Please let me know if I should also forward this to the appropriate congressional oversight committee in order to expedite the matter for your convenience.
