So for I don't know when I manage to put the original Sorenson article online, here is the relevant passage.

Alternate Captain Walter Sorenson says loss affected everyone

American Airlines Captain Walter Sorenson of Groveland was scheduled to fly Flight #11 on Sept. 11, 2001. He was disappointed when he was replaced by Captain John Ogonowski, who had seniority over Sorenson and requested to fly that day. That request saved Sorenson from the fiery death suffered by Ogonowski and the crew of #11 when hijackers slammed the plane into the first trade tower. The last-minute change of pilots also spared Sorenson's wife Sarah the untimely loss of a young husband.

but as I said, it doesn't work and is also not recoverable by the way back machine.

So apparently Ogonowski changed his plans only one day before and decided to attend neither the visit of the agricultural society nor the harvest fiesta of the Cambodian farmers. Very strange.

My favorite explanation is that he got a call from someone who requested his participation in one of the 9/11 wargames. Does anybody have a better one?
