Isn't it interesting that the pilots failed to defend their cockpit even after acknowledging the "BEWARE: COCKPIT INTRUSION" warning they received from the ground?

Have any American pilots ever been able to defend the cockpit from an armed hijacker? Considering that it is extremely unusual that a flight crew would resist hijackers, why should we consider that what flight 93 did that day was strange? Thanks.

so after acknowledging a warning from the ground that airliners were being hijacked and crashed into the World Trade Center, it doesn't see plausable they would at least arm themselves or try to bar the door? It doesn't seem strange that after getting that warning, they didn't at least think to key 7500 to the ground during the takeover?
