1) From the NYC emergency channel 30 audio it definitely appears the van exploded. It's stated multiple times. 2) The 2 men arrested got mixed in the massive amounts of people picked up for immigration shortly following 9/11. The Israeli's arrested on 9/11 led to the arrests of over 60 more Israeli's some of whom turned out to be Mossad with explosives expertise according. Eventually they would all be sent back to their homelands through the help of Chertoff.
1) Other than their being Israeli citizens 3 of them appeared on an Israeli TV show acknowledging they had advanced knowledge when they said their purpose was to document the event. Residents looked out of their windows shortly after the 1st impact and saw them in place at that time celebrating. From what I gathered they hung around until a few minutes after the 2nd impact. They were arrested sometime midday. On them was a couple thousand dollars in cash, passports belonging to other foreign nationals other than themselves, boxcutters, and bomb sniffing dogs were going nuts but no explosives were found. That van did not have a mural painted on it. So that is separate from the 2 guys arrested fleeing the one with the mural and the other van of Israeli's arrested trying to blow up the George Washington Bridge. 2) The guys arrested for celebrating were employees of Urban Moving Systems. The owner Dominic Suter, also an Israeli citizen, abandoned his business with people's belongings still in their storage and fled back to Israel on 9/14/2001 after finding out the FBI wanted to bring him in and talk to him. There appears to never have been any attempts or interest in questioning him for anything despite this oddly suspicious activity of abandoning your own business since. |
