Posts: 20 Group: Members Member #737 Joined: 07/14/08	After following the exchange by a commentator at screwloosechange, it appears a "debunker" has set up a website that appears to be associated with 9/11 Family Members. Tim Sumner claims the website is his homepage. http://www.911familiesforamerica.org/ From the About page: About Quote: 9/11 Families for a Safe & Strong America is a non-partisan affiliation of 9/11 family members who view national security as the country’s top priority. The group supports the U.S. military and endorses the doctrine of pre-emption, supported by the 9/11 Commission’s statement on terrorist threats: “Once the danger has fully materialized, evident to all, mobilizing action is easier–but it then may be too late.” The organization was formed to convey our support for the military and to provide a forum for news and commentary on matters of national security and of interest to 9/11 family members. Our email address is: admin@911familiesforamerica.org Here is a set of questions from SLC where a commentator began an inquiry into the alleged organization: Quote: Hey Tim Sumner of 9/11 Families for a Safe and Strong America... 1. Can you describe for us the particular affiliation your website and membership role has with the actual family members who lost loved ones on 9/11? 2. Can you provide a list of the members that your About statement references? If it is declared private, why so? Which 9/11 Victims are you associated with? 3. Are you affiliated with anyone on this list?-http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2001/memorial/ lists/by-name/page88.html If so, which victim? 4. Is there any reason you aren't trying to help the victims of 9/11 whose health is suffering from the Bush Administrations lies surrounding the air quality at Ground Zero? 5. Why all the links to debunking sites if conspiracy theories themselves dishonor the dead? Doesn't that bring unwanted attention to conspiracies by linking to debunking sites? That seems like a contradiction to me. Tim refused to answer the questions at SLC, instead attacked the person asking the questions. If anyone knows real 9/11 family members or knows members who are affiliated with this web page, could you inquire as to their alleged involvement with the web page? After a cursory review of the web page, the organization is neither non-partisan based upon the right wing websites Tim's homepage links to and appears to have no 9/11 family members at all. There is no membership roster or anything of that nature to examine. It appears it's simply a rightwing blog set up by a "debunker" set up to detract attention away from the 9/11 Family members at www.patriotsquestion9/11.com or from the 9/11 Family Steering Committee or http://www.familiesofseptember11.org/whoweare.aspx Is it a disinformation website?
