If Val's photo was legit, why would the FBI rush three of their agents over to her house to confiscate her equipment?

Most truthers seem to think Val McClatchey's End of Serenity photo is a fake according to the polls I started at Loose Change 1 and here at 911movement.org. We also have Shure's smoking gun phone call to Ms. Leverknight who seems to know it's fake:

Jeff: Val McClatchey... she has a famous photo.

Ms. Leverknight: It was a fake photo, because it didn't have a mushroom cloud.

So, if her photo is faked, what reason was it faked for?

Was it just a simple scam by Val & associates (i.e. family and/or friends) for money/fame, or was it faked by the FBI because they wanted to cover-up evidence at the Shanksville site that would prove 9/11 was an inside job?

Remember that Val had said that three FBI agents rushed over to her house after she reportedly took a copy of her photo to the police station and the FBI agents confiscated her camera's memory card and possibly her computer's hard drive* (which may have left Val with no copy of her alleged photo).

The photo is in the Smithsonian Institution and all over the Internet and has been used as a fund-raiser for the proposed memorial.

FBI agents inspecting the memory card from her digital camera wondered about the photo preceding it -- a shot of Val atop the Mars spaceship.

Conspiracy theorists blog that Flight 93 photo is fake
Sunday, August 06, 2006

"I didn't even aim. I was just like, 'Oh, my God,' " she said. She dropped the camera, jolting the battery loose, then tried in vain to call her husband, son and daughter. She had no idea what she'd captured until the state police put a call out to people in the area, asking for photos, debris and other evidence. She took a printout of her photo to the police, she said, and, within an hour, FBI agents were at her house.

Special agent Jeff Killeen, of the FBI in Pittsburgh, confirmed that the photo of the barns and the smoke plume was "a very legitimate photograph."

Windsor Park Stories - What is America?
The Shanksville Episodes: Val McClatchey "The Picture"

Val: Well the photo, as I said, it was -- that was just an accidental, it was nothing intended.

It sat in my camera for a few days. You know, to me it was just a photograph of something. The state police and the FBI were asking for any photos related to Flight 93.

...I downloaded, made a copy of the photo, took it to the state police and within an hour, three FBI agents were in my house.

...apparently the FBI thought it was worthwhile; they took the original memory card.

Well the FBI, when they came in, they looked at it on my computer which is a lot clearer. They could actually see, you know, what they appear to be debris flying out from that cloud of smoke which I’m sure with modern technology they could do a little more scientific evidence I believe.

*Note that in this Windsor Park Stories interview, there is a reenactment of someone opening up a computer and taking out the hard drive. This seems to suggest that the FBI also confiscated Val's hard drive too.)
