Interesting that 'Papa Bear' (gag) goes out on a limb to show he's 'on the case,' only to have his designated investigator return with the sad news that the site in question has not comitted a crime. He's now willing to go against first amendment rights of free speech because the coin didn't come up as he called it.

Alternatively, I'm a little worried myself that hackers can, with apparent ease, infiltrate sites and accounts at will with complete anonymity. I know this is nothing new, but it does go to prove (to some) that net neutrality is a two-edged sword. I remember when the PGP software creators were being hounded by the Government because their program would let people converse with anonymity. They had to resort to charging him with 'export of munitions' in a failed bid to have his program quashed. Kind of like charging a Mafia Don with tax-evasion just to get him on something. :D

My fear is that this is a slope that many, both informed and uninformed, are willing do descend. If the powers that be can convince the public that it's in their best interest to disallow online anonymity, the net neutrality fight will be all but over.
