:D

I was also quite shocked to see a female picked, and a little worried at what it signifies. Apparently he's going for the female crowd who are bitterly disappointed that Hillary wasn't even seriously considered. Based on her Wiki she's not too bad, especially on the environment, and doesn't seem to be corrupt... Still, "Palin advocated the teaching of both creationism and evolution in public schools." Disturbs me, but maybe not all here. Also, although she's pro-life, she's also pro contraception, a refreshing combination.

On the bright side, it does give me some hope that at least McCain is worried enough about impressions to bother with this kind of tactic, indicating that it's not in the bag or a predetermined outcome yet. Small consolation, if any.
Considering that there is probably no chance at all for a Ron Paul Presidency, Governor Sarah Palin may be our only hope. Palin is refreshingly young with no obvious political corruption in her background nor any apparent fatcat-itis. Obama is a joke and a disaster waiting to happen no matter who he picks as a running mate. McCain is even worse. Only 4 more years of Dubya could prove more disastrous.

With any luck at all, within one week after the swearing in, warmonger Hanoi Hilton McCain will drop dead of whatever ails him, before he can do serious harm to America, and Sarah Palin will become our President.

Perhaps America still stands a chance of surviving as a nation based on liberty and freedom.
