fire will take a while to break windows, no way to know by that picture where the fire has spread, in a confined space (unbroken windows) heat will build up like an oven. heat will also pass through floors and walls. smoke will carry heat too. I have been in a burning building and so have first hand witnessed all these things.

barry describes explosion damage, so perhaps holes in the floors and walls enabled heat to travel to him.

Barry Jennings and Michael Hess were trapped for 90 minutes in the building, when was the picture taken?
