The media vitriol is just nonstop: http://newsbusters.org/blogs/warner-todd-huston/2008/08/31/nbcs-andrea-mitchell-only-hillarys-uneducated-voters-will-vote-s Note: Andrea Mitchell is married to former fed reserve chairman, Alan Greenspan. ~~~~snip "Tom Brokaw's Meet the Press this week was as prosaic as ever, but for one little line uttered by the increasingly partisan Andrea Mitchell. In a discussion about the McCain VP pick of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, guest Doris Kerns Goodwin, plagiarist/historian, said that the choice of Palin is a "very strange choice," showing how little she bothered to even think about the facts. But the most outrageous analysis came from Mitchell who said that only uneducated, female voters will be drawn to Sarah Palin, not those smart, college educated ones." ~~~~snip Edited by Jezebelle, Sep 7 2008, 06:38 AM.

My take is this: Sarah Palin has forced our candidates to explain their positions. When any politician has to do that, he's on the defensive. Smart women, dumb women, I don't know. But, I've been watching politics for a long time. She's changed the game for us. It won't be until we can make her explain her positions that we won't be on the defensive. I am old enough to remember when Ronald Reagan put Jimmy Carter in the box and he never got out of it. We have let a VP candidate do it this time. If Carter, the sitting President couldn't re-take the advantage over candidate Reagan, I am having a tough time figuring out how Obama and Biden can do it. Further, I don't buy the notion that Palin has undercut McCain's best argument (experience) for being elected over Obama. If anything being mayor of a small town outweighs "community organizer" any day. Being Governor, even of a small state, is a lot more executive responsibility than Obama, Biden or McCain can point to. Mark my words, this lady is trouble. Walt-in-Durham |

I found it very interesting to discover that Wasilla is the 5th largest city in Alaska. Sort of changes the "only a mayor of a small town" doesn't it? |

Yes, this lady is trouble , but only for Democrats. The more folk knock her the stronger Sarah will become. Just had an email from a registered Democrat female friend of the family and she is going to vote for McCain. Why? Total fed up up with the sexist hatchet job from the left on a female. I wish folk would look at her as a person and stop the personal attacks on her and her family. BHO requested that his family was off limits along with nearly every thing else. Double standards? |

Maybe a Moose Hunt in Alaska might be a good start for her? |

I know that she's done this for a while, but she's a very poor reporter. And interviewer.....she stammered a lot at the convention. |

Being that Andrea's husband has been the Mephostopheles of inflation, and is a major reason we have this current mess. Alan Greenspan was the guy who gave us both the stock AND the housing bubbles, and Ben Bernanke has been the junior partner in this fiasco. Yes, both are well-educated and well-spoken men, but somehow I seriously doubt that the "ignorant" Sarah Palin ever could do the damage that Greenspan and Bernanke have managed to create.
