http://www.cnbc.com/id/15840232?video=845806058&play=1 The video is of Mary, who might replace biden if he gets sick and Clinton declines. (I think the supposed ANWR film is a fake. The mountains don't exist in ANWR, and the media has been showing the fake for years.) Kudlow has done good interviews with Sarah this summer. I linked several a while back. I think Sarah should do her first interviews n cnbc with him. Maybe beat Oprah's ratings in daytime. Note that if the drilling ban is not extended, it dies. Edited by Tidbits, Sep 6 2008, 04:47 PM.

A couple of things. Isn't Mary Landrieu up for reelection this year? The other thing is how are the Democrats going to get Biden to step down. He is up for reelection too. Wouldn't Biden stepping down as VP nominee say he isn't capable of doing his Senate duties. |

They both are. I have been wondering if Biden will lose the Senate election. A pretty young woman is running against him. Will he spend the last week campaigning in Dover and Wilmington? Mary was far ahead, but she has to be wondering. With Jindel and Sarah looking pretty good, might she lose in the undertow? abb may know. |

“Congress should open the way for environmentally responsible offshore exploration on the Outer Continental Shelf. Experts believe that these areas could eventually produce nearly 10 years' worth of America's current annual oil production.” - President Bush, Sept. 6, 2008 The US currently consumes approximately 21 million barrels of oil per day which equates to approximately 7.6 billion barrels of oil per year. The Free Republic reports that the Outer Continental Shelf [1] could produce between 66.6 and 115.3 billion total barrels of oil, with an average estimate of 86 billion barrels. The new oil and gas is distributed as follows: ![]() If we assume that the oil would be extracted over a 50-100 year period, then we can expect to reduce foreign oil import by 1-2 billion bls/year, or 2.5 to 5 million bls/day. Such a reduction would certainly help our current trade imbalance. But it would do little to reduce our dependence on foreign oil, because oil production in existing oil fields is in steady decline. We must also note that oil reserves increase in value as the world’s oil supply declines, so oil in the ground is probably the best investment we could make. I wish people would stop calling each other names and instead focus on the real problems facing the nation. The President and Congress will agree to expand off shore oil exploration long before the next administration takes office. The real question facing the next administration is what to do next. |
