"a world of hurt" really stuck out to me as a phrase I have not heard lately. I am not certain why "tap" is considered old language? |

This is my personal list. I find "tap" different. If Sen McCain should tap me for VP. I may be wrong. It seems old. 1950-1970. Now I might expect choose. The "old" words delight me. I dislike new "buzz words." I like the good old words. Edited by Tidbits, Sep 4 2008, 08:18 PM.

"A servant's heart". That struck me as an outdated term to describe serving the public, especially a woman, because women are taught they should not be servants. But I liked it because politicians need to see themselves as serving the public not themselves. It also suggests compassion. |

"A servant's heart" sounds spiritual, humble. A phrase I wish more politicians used and lived by. |

Yes. A wonderful phrase and concept. McCain use a variation, I think. It is a main theme of the campaign. Country First, a Servant's Heart, For The People, not for us. And life lived that way. Not just words. |
