To get that he must be nominated by the Permanent members of the United Nations Security Council and not veto-ed. Expect Obama to bend over backwards in the next year to appease Russia & China. It is already happening. Obama will do NOTHING to prevent Putin from moving into Syria. Russia is expanding their presence & explaining their Naval Bases. They are building up airfields. They will have a strong Military presence in the Mediterranean. I suspect the agreement has already been made with Russia & China. China is creating airbases in the China Seas, Russia has taken Crimea & will take more of the Southern Ukraine. Obama believes in a Marxist world, but like all Marxist Leaders they live the life of the Mega Wealthy.

In the past you are right no American could serve because the Russians or Chinese would have veto-ed the nomination. From that nomination the final vote goes to the general Assembly on just a majority vote. Obama could win there because of the number of African & other small countries. It is just like FIFA Presidency being bought off by African Nations. As of May 2014, the 193 UN member states are divided into five groups:[1] the African Group, with 54 member states. the Asia-Pacific Group, with 53 member states; the Eastern European Group, with 23 member states; the Latin American and Caribbean Group (GRULAC), with 33 member states; the Western European and Others Group (WEOG), with 28 member states, plus 1 member state as observer. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Nations_Regional_Groups Obama's problem in becoming Secretary-General is the Veto Power of Russia & China. Putin has a very definite opinion of him, and I can not even describe that opinion here for fear of being banned immediately. On the other hand, it is not obvious that 0b0z0 wants anything of the kind. My guess is that he will be playing golf and doing a few other things like that. He seems like a pretty lazy dude who hates this country... and he has already done it enough harm to get to Paradise no questions asked. Just think of the 72 teenagers he will get to rape!
