I doubt that Fiorina will secure the Republican nomination. Where is her power base? Her tenure at both Lucent and HP do not point to any real great business acumen (she is a lightweight in comparison to Trump in this regard) plus an inability to get along. One thing that I do not see mentioned at all is the ability to surround oneself with good people AND to trust in the advice that those advisors give. Trump would not be as successful as he is if he were deficient in this. Fiorina almost seems robotic (my youngest son's take). My guess is that there will be an increasing push by the Republican establishment for Rubio. |

. What's more likely - late in life she changed her passions in what she believes and does a big flip - or in a Republican Primary she is disavowing her actual beliefs to win the nomination? I can already tell you by what's she said - she is bad news on Immigration and the Muslim (taking over the World) problem. . |

Donated to Hillary, agrees with a mandate, and in 2014 was a member of high standings in the Clinton Global Initiative. What a candidate ...for the GOP! |

. She has skyrocketed to the front of the pack - because of the those credentials - and her affinity for misunderstood Muslims that want to kill us. I'm sure her time in Durham helped forge her belief that others are better than Americans. . Edited by Mason, Sep 24 2015, 10:37 PM.

. The FOX RINO's went wild and lost their minds over this, too. Just a reminder, they will tear apart Cruz after they're done with Trump. http://www.mofopolitics.com/2015/10/02/carly-fiorina-stands-by-2013-attack-on-ted-cruz/ The BOR FOX game - talk about opposing Obama, but don't you dare actually ever do it. . In Fiorina's defense, I think it is difficult, if well nigh impossible, to know the investment, charitable donations made by someone or a company that one hires to do a job for one. Sometimes, it can be downright challenging. A case in point - At my school, the social committee made up of teachers and staff gives a five dollar gift card on each person's birthday. For some years the card was for a local (very good) ice cream establishment until some of those who were perpetually on diets complained that it was not right to be tempting people who were honestly trying to lose weight (no, I am not making this up). So, the decision was made to give a gift card to Starbucks as many (bit not all - since I do not) drink coffee and stop at the local Starbucks on their way to work for a brew. Even though I do not drink coffee, my daughter does and I figured I would just give her the card. However, a member of the staff (one who does not even contribute to the social fund) raised a hue and cry because Starbucks backs Planned Parenthood (now this was long before the videos) and so we were aiding abortions with the purchase of gift cards. She went to the Head of School over this and the Social Committee was told to purchase gift cards from some other organization - they now give Dunkin Donut cards (I know, pretty funny since it was the dieters who complained about the ice cream gift cards - and at the ice cream shop one could purchase coffee!). Funny thing is that I believe Dunkin Donuts also supports Planned Parenthood and the person who complained routinely walks in with a Starbucks coffee in the morning. |

That's guilt by association a couple degrees outside her control if Ayco donated on behalf of other clients. . |

Coming to the rescue I have a novel idea. How about just giving $5 cash and letting the birthday girl/boy spend it as they wish? It took me a long time to research this. But kidding aside I understand the problem. A nice gesture was turned into a brouhaha. Just accept the gift! Brouhaha - noun 1. excited public interest, discussion, or the like, as the clamor attending some sensational event; hullabaloo: The brouhaha followed disclosures of graft at City Hall. 2. an episode involving excitement, confusion, turmoil, etc., especially a broil over a minor or ridiculous cause: A brouhaha by the baseball players resulted in three black eyes. 1885-90; < French, orig. brou, ha, ha! exclamation used by characters representing the devil in the 16th-cent. drama; perhaps < Hebrew, distortion of the recited phrase bārūkh habbā (beshēm ădhōnai) “blessed is he who comes (in the name of the Lord)” (Ps. 118:26) http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/brouhaha A Great Word! |
