Wow, what would've happened to this man in 1950? 1960? 1970? 1980? and while Bergdahl was out partying and doing whatever he pleases (he still is), he was found at a large Marijuana growing operation. Soldiers in Combat deployments are subject to tremendous amounts of stress and strain - there is no way you can have individuals doing their own thing and going in differing directions. Many times a day they miss home and feel desperate - that is why you need discipline. Contrary to the history of the entire Military - they are offering up excuses and reading into motivations and assigning sterling and pure motivations to each action that puts anyone else in a Military Prison for a long time. Suddenly, we are touchy-feely, and supposed to treat him like a five year old. And Bergdahl still is free to go to Pot Farms and partake in illegal activities. . From a Former General on TV: They have tapes (survelliance) of Bergdahl saying he was looking to defect - he was looking for the Taliban, and tapes radio traffic of the Taliban getting the word and looking for Bergdahl. The Gov't decided NOT to use these tapes in the case against Bergdahl. General also said that prosecutions of this kind are brought in 90 days. It's been, what? 2 years? The Fix is in. .
