WHOA!

ESPN put out a False story that drove the whole case - and the NFL let the Bad Info sit out there and never disputed it. That one Story prompted calls for the $5 Million investigation / report.

Chris Mortenen from ESPN put out that FALSE story which had two components - the second being all the Colts balls were tested right on in specs, which was a big Lie. It seems from the Reporting that the Source added that hours later as a Sweetner for the story.

Okay, well in the wake of this - Chris Mortensen talks to a New England Radio Show and agrees to go on the show and explain exactly who gave him the bad information that was so damaging. He's going to tell his source - on the Air. Mortensen tells the Media host in New England (before the show) when asked about his source - well, you know the only people that would have that information, the league. Lo and behold, at the eleventh hour, Mortensen sends the Station and email saying he cannot appear. He finishes the email - with this line - You should not have made this an issue - DO NOT CALL ME.

ESPN is beholden because the have a contract with the NFL. The NFL is their Customer. They can be cut out of the pie.

And, this nugget. Goodell called for an investigation of the NFL (over Ray Rice and what he knew), so the NFL hand picked this guy to investigate the league office and Goodell. Goodell provided his office phone to the Investigator - but did not give his personal cell phone nor the records from it.

When Brady had his appeal hearing, Brady's agent wanted to ask questions of a Goodell's right hand man in the NFL office, someone who they were told Edited the Well's report - and actually made changes to the evidence / testimony section. Goodell ruled (appealing his own verdict) that Brady could not question or submit questions to his right hand man.

So, who is witholding evidence?

One has to ask the following - is Brady a sacrificial lamb because of his race and politics?

ESPN Reporters actually published stories saying that Black Players pressured the NFL / Goodell to not lessen the penalty.

And there are published reports of Reporters rooting against the Patriots because they viewed them as a White team.

You can't make this stuff up. You know I provide links.

Root against Brady because it's White Vs. Black.

And this is not the only article like it.

“Brady leads an offense built in his image. In a league that is predominantly black, Brady directs a high-flying offense that is predominantly white and relies on a deep cast of white playmakers."

Jets DE Sheldon Richardson arrested for allegedly driving 143 mph

New York Jets defensive end Sheldon Richardson was arrested earlier this month and charged with resisting arrest and several traffic violations, according to court records.

Richardson was arrested in St. Charles County, Mo., on July 14 after officers observed him driving 143 mph, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. He had apparently been racing another vehicle on a highway when officers attempted to stop him, St. Charles County Prosecutor Tim Lohmar told the Post-Dispatch. Richardson evaded the officers by speeding up and exiting the highway, running through a red light in the process, Lohmar added. He was eventually apprehended when he pulled the car into a driveway that was not his.

Richardson had two other men and a 12-year-old child in the 2014 Bentley Silver Spur with him. He was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

Officers found a loaded handgun under the driver’s seat and the car smelled of marijuana, police allege in a statement of probable cause obtained by Rand Getlin of the NFL Network.

This is worse than I first realized.

This incident was two weeks after getting suspended for using illegal drugs (failing drug tests). He, himself, said he failed them all, or missed them.

Two weeks later, he does this.

The same guy has told the Media he wants a $100 MiILLION Dollar Contract!

Go ahead and give him $100 Million - and stand back.

New York Times compares Brady to Richard Nixon!

This is like a league and a sports media that would Hate Tim Tebow. Wait.
Who did they compare Hillary to? Mother Teresa?
NYTimes is cautiously waiting to see if the email or Benghazi scandals bring Hillary down to that level.

The other side of the story.

Tom Brady's Court Filing in Minnesota. (pdf)

eta: This should be an interesting story to follow over the next month. Will the case be heard in NY or Minnesota? Will Brady be allowed to play while the case drags on and on and on?
Sdsgo, or others smarter than I, would need to explain the possible outcomes.

The case filed in Minnesota was by the NFL Players Association (NFLPS), on behalf of Brady, simply to seek having the arbitration award vacated (prevent damage, not compensate for damage inflicted on Brady).

I'm not sure if the ruling, should it go against the NFLPA, eliminates Brady's right to file a claim against the NFL. Should Brady be suspended from any contract activities, there would be direct losses to him, along with the argument of future losses as a result of harming his reputation.

Mason posts about intentional conduct that should certainly be considered as harmful to Brady's reputation. I read through most of the pdf, browsing through the latter half, and it appears to me to focus on questionable action regarding the agreement(s) between the NFL and NFLPA.

I did not see anything that read like a tort claim, identifying conduct meant to or negligently used in a manner that created damages to Brady. It read more like an argument about the technical guidelines that were not followed properly.

If Brady is suspended for any time from his contract, I'd think he should be able to personally file a lawsuit against the NFL (maybe media sources also) for damages suffered (more millions for the millionaire!).

I'm not sure if this case to vacate the award allows discovery, or if it does, to the extent that could be used to uncover evidence that the NFL or others are responsible for damage to Brady beyond not properly following the agreement with NFLPA.

If my theory of how this process works is correct, that Brady could still file a lawsuit, Goodell might be forcing himself to face a future case that could whoop his azz.

The NFL stands for Not For Long

Robert Kraft(NE Patriots) is a well respected owner in the NFL and considered one of the most influential. Why pick a fight with him?

Pretty clear to me we are seeing a power struggle inside the NFL for some reason.

Get off the racist bandwagon. The NFL is not racist. All the racist issue you bring up are from the press.

It just so happens that Goodell has reversed his favorability standings by going after Brady.

A move that has been championed and echoed by the Press.

Something like 28% supported him when the media said he lied about Ray Rice. Now it's a reversal with him back on-top.

Why is Brady so unpopular? Was Michael Jordan unpopular for winning?

That is the Question - why is Brady so disliked.

Come on mason. Jordan was hated about as much as brady for winning. Larry bird was hated. Joe Montana was hated. The entire celtics team was hated when Red Auerbach was head coach. Coach K and duke are hated. It's not the sport that are the haters, it's the fans. So extend that to real life. People are racist. In today's atmosphere blacks will speak out against whites and whites will not speak out against blacks. Read the sports pages.
