Deadline Near, Health Signups Show Disparity

....The White House said on Thursday that more than six million people have signed up for private plans, a significant political milestone for the Obama administration. Independent analysts estimate that an additional 3.5 million Americans are newly insured under Medicaid — figures the law’s backers hail as a success.

...newly insured...success

First off, they pulled the 3.5 million out of their azzez, but lets go with them here for a minute...

The CBO's #'s would indicate it costs about 300% more to get the uninsured covered through Obamacare Exchange than it costs to just put them on Medicaid Expansion (I need to recheck that, but am 100% certain it will cost less per person for Medicaid Expansion coverage this year).

Moving on to that success...

CBO said we had 55 million uninsured as of May, 2010 and the number has grown since (which should be added, but I do not have it!). Using their 3.5 million Medicaid Expansion and about 1 million from the Exchange, we'd have 4.5 million newly insured.

4.5 million gives us 8.2% of that 55 million.

Obama has spent billions and billions to build an 8.2% success

success = ...it could have been worse!

Maryland set to replace troubled health exchange with Connecticut’s system

Quote:

Maryland officials are set to replace the state’s online health-insurance exchange with technology from Connecticut’s insurance marketplace, according to two people familiar with the decision, an acknowledgment that a system that has cost at least $125.5 million is broken beyond repair.

Maryland is not alone in having deep-seated problems with its health marketplace. Technical issues also have plagued Oregon, Minnesota and Hawaii. But Maryland will be the first to walk away from its site, a particular embarrassment for Lt. Gov. Anthony G. Brown (D), who was placed in charged of implementing health-care reform in Maryland by Gov. Martin O’Malley (D).

New Tact from Obama-care Senate supporter

Senator: 'There's No Such Thing as Obamacare'

Senator Angus King, an independent senator from Maine who caucuses with the Democrats, said this morning on Fox that "There's no such thing as Obamacare."

"Two points if I may, sir," says Fox host Chris Wallace. "One, then why is Harry Reid saying he's not going to allow a vote on the fixes? And, two, speak directly and briefly, becase we're about to run out of time, to Senator Barrasso's comment that a lot of doctors, a lot of hospitals are being excluded by what Obamacare is offering."

"Now, now that's a big -- There is no such thing as Obamacare. You can't sign up for Obamacare. You sign up for an Anthem policy or an Aetna policy or a WellPoint policy. It's private insurance," said King.

Bryan York, conservative American columnist for the Washington Examiner, Fox News contributor, said like others, health insurance premiums will rise quickly because,

1) The Insurance companies set the premiums too low to draw in consumers

However the way it was set-up by the Obama Administration their losses will be covered by the govt through what we have discussed at length in the first years, but that does not explain fully where the money comes from

1) The Taxpayers
2) The buy-in that Insurance companies had to set aside into the corridors which came from the premiums of non subsidized policies

Thus the rate payers of non subsidized policies will have their rates will rise faster

Welcome to Bohicaland suckers & PSST Thanks for the Votes.

Did you really think your premiums would go down?

My understanding is we have a $63 or $68 fee per policy (maybe per person insured) which is part of the 3-R's pool of funds to cover the bailout before taxpayers kick in.

OBAMACARE WEBSITE DOWN ON FINAL DAY OF ENROLLMENT

Reads like the perfect excuse to extend enrollment, maybe a planned crisis.

Scalia & co. can still destroy Obamacare — without you seeing it coming
Here's the absurd case, currently in a federal appeals court, that could kill subsidies in 36 Healthcare.gov states

This author argues that repeating the text of the law identifying that STATES must establish an exchange to get subsidies was merely "sloppiness" ...so sloppy were they that they did it NINE TIMES!!

Refresher, as we keep hearing about all the House votes on the news:

Vote to repeal only 6 times, though nobody challenges the incorrect statements in the media.

Supreme Court justices seek contraceptive compromise

..Conservative justices sought a way to let women obtain coverage without having employers pay for it.

“Are there ways of accommodating the interests of the women who may want these particular drugs or devices without imposing a substantial burden on the employer who has the religious objection to it?” said Justice Samuel Anthony Alito Jr.

When you step back to look at this, we have a law that allows administrative employees to write regulations that violate religious freedom, so it is the law. What a mess that's hard to believe any administration would choose to fight about. We have a fabricated right pushing on a Constitutional right.

Obama (Obamacare) says that if you have been Domestically Abused, you get more time to sign up for Obamacare.

No provisions for victims of Knockout attacks, or plain old crime victims.

It would be easier just to list who does not get more time to sign up for Obamacare.

What about those of us who, having been dumped onto the market, signed up and paid in mid-November?

Do we get the chump prize?
