I wish Kennedy had wrote his own opinion, just to show WTH he was thinking. |

So you agree with the law as written? Didn't Roberts write exactly what Obama was saying about the subsidies? Didn't Obama change the law to do state subsidies when those 4 words say u can't? OR Read scalias opinion. or tell us why you see the decision as not making law? |

I suppose their ruling is now law, but I had earlier agreed with you that it clearly looks like plain and simple politics ...not law. |

Unfortunately, my laptop is down and I'm using my phone, which I am not familiar with the tools on. |

I did not express myself clearly. It is obvious that those 4 words should be interpreted as written. The majority court said it doesn't matter because the intent of the law is what is important. They let the law stand and, more importantly, future courts may use this interpretation as reason to support other questionably written laws. In my view this court just did away with some more states rights. So as Scalia says, words in a law are now meaningless. It's how the courts will interpret what is written. |

Every portion of the law that might support the idea that the intent was subsidies for all was met with sound explanations as to how they apply to the law based on subsidies to state exchanges ONLY. Has anyone seen that explained in the ruling? |

We were told: You can keep your Doctor. You can keep your Plan. It'll save every Family $2500 a year and ignite the Economy and create thousands of jobs. Emergency Room use will go way down (it has gone up). Doctors and practices will be free of Paperwork. It'll be so affordable ($6,000 deductibles per person each year, in reality). People will no longer go bankrupt from Medical bills (try paying 20% of major surgery and long stay after that $6,000 deductible). It won't add a penny to the Debt. We've gone from that - to Hillary today - We know it's the right thing in our Heart. I guess quantifiables didn't work out for them, so they go to the baby crap. . . Why won't anyone on TV mention the performance of Obamacare? Like Emergency Room use up. Probably the same reason no one on TV will make the simple conclusion that Roberts is a Fraud. We will see Unions, boards, and other entities now deviate wildly from statutory text - statutory law has been slaughtered. . |

I suspect Barry had heard about the initial "secret" vote long ago. |

House bill would force the Supreme Court to enroll in ObamaCare A House Republican on Thursday proposed forcing the Supreme Court justices and their staff to enroll in ObamaCare. Rep. Brian Babin (R-Texas) said that his SCOTUScare Act would make all nine justices and their employees join the national healthcare law’s exchanges. "As the Supreme Court continues to ignore the letter of the law, it’s important that these six individuals understand the full impact of their decisions on the American people,” he said. “That’s why I introduced the SCOTUScare Act to require the Supreme Court and all of its employees to sign up for ObamaCare,” Babin said. Babin’s potential legislation would only let the federal government provide healthcare to the Supreme Court and its staff via ObamaCare exchanges. “By eliminating their exemption from ObamaCare, they will see firsthand what the American people are forced to live with,” he added. His move follows the Supreme Court’s ruling Thursday morning that upheld the subsidies under ObamaCare that are provided by the government to offset the cost of buying insurance....snipped http://thehill.com/blogs/floor-action/house/246204-gop-bill-would-force-supreme-court-to-enroll-in-obamacare Make ALL Govt Employees including POTUS, SCOTUS, & the Jackasses on the HIll |

Mattie Ross: Do you need a good lawyer? Lucky Ned Pepper: I need a good judge. Roberts rewrote the law, and rewrote the intent of the law... I think PowerLine has it right: http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2015/06/behold-the-supreme-courts-warp-field-generator.php States should now abandon the idea of being responsible for exchanges, and let the Fed run and pay for them... Why would any state want to deal with running a healthcare exchange now? |
