Pray tell, how is that voluntary? Why must one's employer be able to know one's weight, etc. if it does not directly impact job performance? I can understand, for instance, a height and weight minimum (and even a maximum) for a fire fighter. But clerking at the local CVS?

I have a relative who works for a mufti-state borkerage firm. They recently had to do the same for their Health Insurance Coverage... Except it was physical paid for by the Insurance Company. They were warned about their bad habits, BMI, etc.

You won't find a fat drug addict.

And they're the last people you want around money, customers, and anything of trust.

Ahhh...but you cannot discriminate under Obamacare, and "too fat" is a disability under ADA.

So where is this going?

I guess the good news for CVS employees, if they get fired for being too fat, they can get disability payments for life

Sometimes one has to take my comments with a sense of humor. lol I do.

My sister is as she calls it FAT. She has 2 scotches before bed and seems to me at least to be one of the healthiest people I know. All blood work is normal.

<shrugs>

we are approaching the scarlette letter and the nazi labelling people part of our world. But, hey, that goes along with guilty until proven innocent. Sheesh... quick,,,,, find me another war to fight.

So you can't ask a prospective employee if they are gay, but you can demand an employee to reveal personal information about their body because it could possibly effect their health?

They're playing both sides of the fence here.
