Bloomberg has hard time swallowing judge’s decision to nix large soda ban
The ban on sugary drinks over 16 ounces at city-regulated eateries was supposed to take effect Tuesday. Bloomberg: ‘It wasn’t a setback for me. It’s a setback for the people who are dying.’


A defiant Mayor Bloomberg toasted an East Side restaurant that complied with his ban on large sodas despite a judge’s decision to dump it.
“It wasn't a setback for me. It's was a setback for the people who are dying," Bloomberg told dozens of reporters Tuesday at a Lucky’s Cafe on First Ave. at E. 34th St. “We just think that the judge was totally wrong.”...snipped
