Out of all of this, I am most surprised at the role of CNN and Wolf Blitzer. Do they have more guts at CNN than we now are seeing at Fox? |

Dont worry. Woodward will be silenced if he follows through on any of this. The incompetence also shows its face with the blame homeland security for releasing the criminals. Exactly what is obama respnsible for? Edited by chatham, Feb 28 2013, 08:42 AM.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/02/28/white-house-denies-staffer-threatened-watergate-journalist-woodward/ White House denies staffer threatened Watergate journalist Woodward Published February 28, 2013 FoxNews.com The White House is denying reports an adviser threatened famed Watergate journalist Bob Woodward after the Washington Post reporter challenged President Obama's version of events on the looming sequester. Woodward claimed Wednesday night that a White House aide sent him an email saying he would "regret" his comments. The aide was not identified, but an official familiar with the exchange told Fox News it was National Economic Council Director Gene Sperling. That was after Woodward wrote a column this past weekend claiming Obama was trying to re-write history -- regarding not only whose idea the sequester was, but also how it would take effect. Woodward wrote that based on his reporting earlier in the budget battle, the president was trying to move the goalposts by trying to replace the sequester with a mix of tax hikes and spending cuts -- instead of solely spending cuts. After Politico reported late Wednesday that Woodward was coming forward to claim he was threatened, a White House aide denied the claim. snip.... Edited by Kerri P., Feb 28 2013, 09:51 AM.

I like the last paragraph. "Firstly, you don't threaten anyone. Secondly, you don't threaten Bob Woodward," said Davis. "He's one of the best reporters ever. He's factual. You can disagree with facts that he reports, but he's factual. Don't mess with him about his facts. You can mess with him about the interpretation of his facts, but this is not a reporter you tangle with," he added. |

The emails really don't seem to support Woodward, imo. http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2013/02/did-woodward-overract.php |

. It's telling that the Media - and even the Right - go right by the fact that Obama lied on Video several times to the American people. He claimed this was the baby of the Congress - and he had nothing to do with it. When it came from Obama's office - it was birthed there, and the White House dispatched Senior members to get Harry Reid to go for it. Imagine if Bush had done all that blatant lying - including in National Presidential Debates. . |

. Washington Times Excerpt: "His (Obama's) goal was to use sequestration to push for even higher taxes. He thought he could just trot out proposals to end “loopholes for big corporations” again. However, after he signed the “fiscal cliff” bill into law, full of carve-outs for the wind industry, Hollywood filmmakers, racetrack construction, asparagus farmers and plug-in vehicles, his diatribe just doesn’t pack the same punch. It appears the president’s strategy was wrong, and at the end of this week we’ll finally begin to see a small but important first step toward fiscal sanity. The past few weeks have been a sad sight as the president realized he was trapped by his own proposal and began a parade of horribles in an attempt to scare the country and Hill Republicans into bailing him out. The longer the scare tactics failed, the more untenable the president’s antics have become. From docked carrier strike groups, to unbearable lines at the airport, to a farcical backdrop of first responders, the president has tried to make us believe that saving two cents on the dollar means our federal government can’t function and critical services won’t be provided. These strawmen are blowing down as fast as his staff can prop them up. Republicans don’t look like they’re going to take the bait (yet), and there’s no sign that the president’s campaign apparatus is going to move the needle. . When people were voting (like Government Contractors) and on a National Stage - Obama said, this wasn't my idea - it was Congress - and he assured Voters it would NEVER HAPPEN. That's Pretty significant, IMO. Lies affecting the election. . |

If I were Woodward I would release the email he got in full so there would be no doubt what was said to him in it. This could also make zero's admin look really bad if there is a real threat to Woodward in it. Edited by Kerri P., Feb 28 2013, 02:07 PM.

This morning Karl Rove was on FOX with his little white board, he pointed out the we are spending 3.57 trillion dollars this year with the sequester vs 3.42 trillion dollars last year. That is an increase of 15 billion dollars, how is that a cut of anything? |
