I had two great uncles which each had them as their first home on the farm ...with hand pump well and an outhouse, both outside. Neither lived in them after I was old enough to remember, but they still used them as sheds and the kitchem cabinets were shelves for storage. One still had to use the outhouse and a hand pump in their kitchen, up until about 1970-ish when they finally plumbed their house. |

. I know people are using shipping containers now, with a big challenge being how to get light in there (or natural light). Many of the Camps up north still have the hand pumps on the wells. . |

I am a big fan of "tiny living". I despise waste, and seeing these containers converted into useful space does my heart good. I like this roof garden ![]() (and the car, too!) |
