That does NOT mean the momentum is "essentially a draw". |

. I think Biden spoke louder and was more aggressive - but he was saying things that just aren't true. How is it caring to spend the Social Security Trust Money? How can one deny that Obamacare is raising taxes on the middle class? How can you spend $500 B two times in two different places? How can he defend operating without a Budget? . |

Do you remember when Carol Burnett would do that skit where she was the aging, overly made-up Hollywood has-been actress? I kept thinking of that tonight. I realize I am biased but ole Botox Joe with his bloviating and his over-reactions looked like a caricature of some washed up politican. There was just something fake...off...like he was playing himself on a Saturday Night Live skit. |

It is $712 billion he spends twice. ************* http://thecable.foreignpolicy.com/posts/2012/10/11/biden_contradicts_state_department_on_benghazi_security Biden contradicts State Department on Benghazi security Vice President Joe Biden claimed that the administration wasn't aware of requests for more security in Libya before the Sept. 11 attacks on the U.S. mission in Benghazi during Thursday night's debate, contradicting two State Department officials and the former head of diplomatic security in Libya. "We weren't told they wanted more security. We did not know they wanted more security there," Biden said. That was one part he blamed on the other administration. |

Powerline: Did other independent voters, especially females, share this reaction? I don’t know. But I do know how badly Al Gore’s debate demeanor hurt him in 2000. If anything, Biden outdid Gore in the boorish behavior department. I also know that for a lawyer to behave before a jury as Biden conducted himself before a national audience would risk serious damage to his client. |

. Entertainment Weekly says, Ryan and Biden were grinning sharks. They spread the tactics out and painted both with the mugging and belittling tactics. . |

Biden: President trusted Intelligence ppl for facts after Benghazi, (even though he also apologized for video 2 weeks later, when fact was known it was a terrorist attack) but he trusts Intelligence enough that we will KNOW when Iran has a nuke weapon. Biden: We DIDN'T KNOW that Libyan embassy requested more security. Biden: We will be totally OUT of Afghanistan no matter what the circumstances are on the ground at that time, in 2014. (Don't we have a pact to have support troops and $ there until 2024?) Biden: Romney is going to take Medicare away from our seniors who depend on it, leaving elderly impoverished and unmedicated. Biden: 47%. Biden: I will not impose my religious values on other people, and we cannot afford to have conservative Supreme Court Justices. Biden: We HAVE PEOPLE IN SYRIA NOW. Biden: Smile, Laugh, Joke, Insult, Interrupt, Guffaw, Rolleyes, Biden: 47%. Raddatz: Let Biden smile, laugh, joke, insult, interrupt, guffaw and rolleyes. Ask Ryan for Specifics. Interrupt Ryan when getting specific. Ryan: Four Years of Failure is Enough. Bipartisan leader who can negotiate would be a good thing. Life starts at conception. Medicare changes won't affect anyone currently age 55 or older. Broadened base of taxpayers equals more tax revenue. Romney cares about 100%. Biden should know about having the wrong words come out of one's mouth. Expounded upon Syria and Iran in a knowledgeable manner. Be Polite. Be Sincere. (When asked by Raddatz about personality trait that would make him the best VP, the first word I thought I heard was "Honesty", and I cheered, but then he continued talking and he might actually have said "Honestly, " in a prefatory sort of way. . . .) I applauded only once, for Ryan, but now I don't remember for exactly what he said. Ryan does occasionally look goofy. I'm calling it 60-40, in Ryan's favor. Biden made some good assertive statements for his side, even if he was not entirely truthful, and he was rude. and that's my opinion. although I did not participate in any drinking games. |

Wallace on Biden 'Most Disrespectful Debate Performance In My Lifetime' Fox News’ Chris Wallace speaking shortly tonight’s VP debate said, “I don’t believe I have ever seen a debate in which one participant was as openly disrespectful of the other as Biden was to Paul Ryan.” Wallace cited Biden’s facial gestures and phrases such as “malarkey” and “stuff.” http://nation.foxnews.com/chris-wallace/2012/10/11/wallace-most-disrespectful-debate-performance-my-lifetime I am sure the die-hard Dems loved it, but looks like Ryan won according to some polls. |

So, it appears that the Obama Team believes their most recent explanation that Obama was too polite in his debate with Romney, and that's why he lost. Joe tried out the new strategy of being the total opposite of polite. Hey Obama, how's that working for you? ![]() I am very relieved that Biden's bloviating pompousness didn't play well with the American people, or at least a majority of the American people. I give all the credit in the world to Ryan for keeping his cool. I think Ryan demonstrated to the nation that he is more than well-qualified to be Vice-President. |
