I am done watching. Biden interrupted Ryan too much but Ryan kept his cool. Raddich stopped the conversation usually while Ryan was trying to make a point. For example, she changed the subject when Ryan was talking about the wasteful spending on green energy ventures after Biden talked over Ryan. Biden's facial expressions come across as comical. He bloviates like no one else. Raddich has done nothing to stop Biden's interruptions. She has given no time restraints to Biden. Ryan explained things much better than Biden. He is skillful at explaining but the interruptions don't help. Biden is very poor at explaining things and it is nearly impossible to follow him. I think Ryan wins this debate because Biden comes across as a clown and rude. Edited by foxglove, Oct 11 2012, 09:19 PM.

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/ryan-biden-know-under-lot-duress-lost-ground-014741509--election.html Ryan to Biden: ‘I know you’re under a lot of duress to make up for lost ground’ .. As the vice presidential debate shifted to domestic issues, the vice presidential candidates were asked to weigh in on Medicare. "They got caught with their hands in the cookie jar, robbing Medicare to pay for Obamacare," Ryan said of his assertion that seniors would lose Medicare access under the president's plan. Biden continued to interrupt Ryan, attempting to argue with his assertions. "That's not true, more people signed up [for Medicare]," Biden said. Ryan then addressed the first presidential debate, taking an ironic verbal shot at Biden. "I know you're under a lot of duress to make up for lost ground," Ryan said. "Well, don't take up all the four minutes, then," Biden shot back. Though for the record, at the time of the exchange, Biden had been speaking for over two minutes longer than Ryan in total debate time. When it was officially Biden's turn again, he chose to address the debate cameras directly. "Seniors are not denied choices," Biden said. "All you seniors out there, have you been denied choices?" .. |

Martha interrupted Ryan again! Biden: "He gets 40; I get 15" (seconds). What a whiner! |

. In full disclosure, I brought home some good to eat during the debate, but I let it sit and decided against it. Biden made me lose my appetite. . |

. IMO, Ryan was advised to stay polite and stay reserved.. I think some obvious lines were left on the floor - out of that desire to stay respectful and deferential. . |

It seemed like Ryan got more time overall, and Biden more opportunities to respond, with Raddatz often changing the topic for Ryan ...after she would stop him as he started a response. It may just seem like Ryan got more time because he was clearer in getting his message across. This could just be me, maybe transcripts will help. Raddatz seemed to have stressed for Ryan to be more specific on what his plans were at times (Biden's we see has failed, but she did not ask him) and then interupt him by mentioning he was going too deep into a topic. I need to check on that, even though it does not matter ...can't change it now. |

Biden on Libya blamed his intelligemce community and the ones responsible for passing along the message that more security was desired ...as if that is someone else's administration that handles those duties! |

I still think Biden came across as an angry Occupy Wall Street protester rather than a wise even-tempered Vice President. Fox Focus group coming on.......will be interesting. |

I admit to absolute prejudice going in--but I thought Biden came across as a grinning jackass. He was rude, did not give straight answers, rambled--and committed the cardinal debate sin of delivering his pre-taught lines--not responding to topic. Paul Ryan maintained his composure under treamendous provocation--and answered when permitted. He was cut off way too often by Martha--who never interrupted Biden at all. |

I think Biden played to the Msnbc crowd but I am doubtful his demeanor was appealing beyond that crowd. |
