Who will vet the story-teller-in-chief’s latest Obamacare anecdote?

And we had this wonderful young waiter, and he brought us all our stuff, and he was patient with us as we were dawdling over the menu. And we were milking it for all it was worth because we don’t get out that often. But at the end of the dinner — it was very professional, very unobtrusive — but at the end of the dinner he just said, I wanted to just say how much I appreciate you because you saved my mother’s life — because my mother had a stroke, she wasn’t yet qualifying for Medicare, and because of the Affordable Care Act, we were able to get her coverage that allows her to take her medicines and is keeping her alive.

So is he trying to tell us a stroke is a pre-existing condition?

They sign you up with a new policy in the ambulance?

I suspect the entire story is BS, but I'm not sure where Obamacare comes in here. Maybe it's cheaper to buy a policy than pay for prescriptions (after the stroke).

Yeah, I'm sure Grandma is making them Pig's Feet and Hash.

Who are they kidding?

A first-class flunky wouldn't believe this bullshit

What am I missing here that can put a shine on Obamacare?

It reads like she got coverage after the stroke, so maybe that creates a pre-existing condition which relates to the policy paying for medicines.

If that is the best he can give us??? It points out one of the problems with Obamacare ...buying a policy on the way into the hospital so someone else can pay your bill for you.

I feel like I am totally missing what Barry is bragging about, 'cause he shouldn't brag on a feature that drives policy prices up, up, up...

And no mention of the quality of life? Like is she up and getting around on her own? Can speak and use both arms? Push the buttons on a phone? Other normal quality of life stuff? Or is she bed ridden and someone has to take care of her 24/7 and give meds to her to keep her alive?

What does keeping "her alive mean"?
