. I have advocated taking on Obama, and the Fairy Tales, which everyone seemed to run from, but how can he lose with this kind of Press Coverage? http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/msnbc-good-news-president_651932.html . Edited by Mason, Sep 8 2012, 07:51 PM.

From a recent post in the unemployment thread: Most articles have headlines noting the rate dropped and/or "96,000" jobs added, which seems like good news for the nearly blind ....or liberals bragging Barry keeps adding jobs (what is it, 30 months now?). Those who did not praise the news entirely had headlines that started it off in that direction. Unfortunately for them, the numbers are so bad that they couldn't hold that pattern steady for more than a day. |

Of course I don't know but.... I keep telling myself that it was the same way with Carter. I remember how brilliant the press said Carter was and how scary a Reagan presidency would be. Then I worry that the country has really changed. And I remind myself that there was no alternative media when the press lied about Carter and Reagan. Then I read about Obama's convention bounce and I worry some more........ but I know how wrong polls can be, I remind myself of Carter/Reagan, the elections of 2010, Scott Walker, etc. etc. In other words, I'm all over the place. I believe he could win but I don't yet honestly believe the American people are stupid so I will be surprised (and hard pressed to find the upside) if he wins. |
