I did pretty good. I had a period where I swore someone in the audience was chanting "four more beers," and I thought they may have been talking to me. I did go on, persisted and gave it all I had. However, the point came where I felt ill and had to shut it off.

It was when Obama laughed at the Foreign Policy experience of Romney and Ryan.

It was just too much to take from a man whose foreign Policy experience was faux Greek Columns and Rev. Wright's 'America is Evil through and through' Sermons as a candidate.

Everyone has their breaking point.

By that time I would have had to have four Jack Daniels and branch water to get through. The only experience this jackleg has is his ability to bow to foreign terrorists and dictators. What the hell experience did he have in 08 unless you consider the southside of Chicago to be foreign soil.

He was arrogant throughout the whole speech but I lost it when he belittled Republicans for not wanting high taxes and regulation. Then he goes on to insinuate that Republicans would fire school teachers and kick students off their financial aid.

And then there was, "I am the President." Did the crowd really need to be reminded of that? Obama is President and you don't dare dethrone him. Such arrogance.

Quote:

They want your vote, but they don't want you to know their
plan. And that's because all they had to offer is the same
prescription they've had for the last thirty years:

``Have a surplus? Try a tax cut.''
``Deficit too high? Try another.''
(LAUGHTER)
``Feel a cold coming on? Take two tax cuts, roll back some
regulations, and call us in the morning.''
(APPLAUSE)

Now, I've cut taxes for those who need it, middle-class
families, small businesses. But I don't believe that another
round of tax breaks for millionaires will bring good jobs to our
shores, or pay down our deficit. I don't believe that firing
teachers or kicking students off financial aid will grow the
economy, or help us compete with the scientists and engineers
coming out of China.

Then he tells the crowd, "You did that." HE got bin Laden, HE bailed out the auto companies, but the people (and he was talking to democrats), helped the medical student get through school and a little girl get surgery.

Did those who make over $250,000 a year - those that Obama viciously hates, did they do anything?

Quote:

It was about you. My fellow citizens, you were the
change.
(APPLAUSE)
You're the reason there's a little girl with a heart
disorder in Phoenix who'll get the surgery she needs because an
insurance company can't limit her coverage.
You did that.
(APPLAUSE)
You're the reason a young man in Colorado who never thought
he'd be able to afford his dream of earning a medical degree is
about to get that chance.
You made that possible.
(APPLAUSE)
You're the reason a young immigrant who grew up here and
went to school here and pledged allegiance to our flag will no
longer be deported from the only country she's ever called home,
(APPLAUSE)
why selfless soldiers won't be kicked out of the military
because of who they are or who they love; why thousands of
families have finally been able to say to the loved ones who
served us so bravely: ``Welcome home, welcome home.''

Well, there was a lot that got my goat last night - the pandering to the military families while the WH refuses to extend voting time for the military was another one.
