That seems like local money, the added cost for those wanting someone to live and care for properties all year ...sorta like housing for the community grounds keeper, when they do not want or need grounds keepers for each summer house. |

. My reaction is that if everything is more expensive on an island, then maybe people making less shouldn't be living there. I don't know if affordable housing as a goal makes sense in some areas and on some islands. If they want people there as Innkeepers, it seems there should be no income restriction - and you have a larger pool. And the Question arises - how much of this can be purely private - and how much is controlled by Government agencies. . Edited by Mason, May 28 2012, 08:13 PM.

Yes, it could be a sticky little local 'stimulus for jobs', which may pull state and federal funds both directly and indirectly. |
