It says she attended NCCU, but it doesn't say she graduated. This article is dated 6 years after her high school graduation, so there was time. |

Now, the hypocrisy of this goes to infinity and beyond: because you know when Bush was President, that same teacher probably was critical of Bush each and every day -- and made fun of him too -- all my liberal friends did -- thereby truly disrespecting Bush. I seriously doubt Mrs. Nixon-Deely held the class to the same standard if someone criticized Bush while he was President. Edited by MikeZPU, May 21 2012, 06:17 PM.

I wouldn't be surprised if certain factions of the AA community get up and arms about the fact that this teacher was suspended. |

Mike ZPU: I am sure that you are right on the money. Funny isn't it how Bush and Cheney could be called everything in the book and that was fine but any criticism of Obama (or hint of it) makes one a racist. |

Especially so if the boy who videotaped the whole proceedings or the boy who challenged her was white. |

He is white. Wait, I may have him mixed up with the kid that dressed up as MLK for a history event. Edited by kbp, May 21 2012, 06:27 PM.

2 close, you are right on the money. The legacy of NCCU can be found in failures all over the State. This is no exception. She probably graduated with honors just like Crusty. |

"There's a long history of black teachers being suspended disproportionately. That's a fact." I rephrased the above after getting the quote below from Obama: "But I think it's fair to say, No. 1, any of us would be pretty angry; No. 2, that the Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home; and, No. 3 ... that there's a long history in this country of African-Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately." The incident, Obama said, shows "how race remains a factor in this society." Edited by MikeZPU, May 21 2012, 06:38 PM.

I searched a few of the NCCU yearbooks and I find no entry for a Dixon or a Neely. But I may have missed because I did not check past 1989 or 90 or so. Others can check. http://archive.org/search.php?query=subject%3A%22North+Carolina+Central+University--Students--Yearbooks.%22 |

It ould very well be possible that she did not have her picture taken for the yearbook. I never did for my college yearbook. |
