This is orchestrated. This is the same thing they did to Beck.

Limbaugh's Adverstisers have walked out on him. HBO, Sony, and Alec Baldwin's and Joy Behar's networks have done no such thing.

How many times have we seen this?

Danny Glover and Samuel L. Jackson say whatever they want - and Hank Williams Jr. is dropped and persona non-grata.

Fluke is 30 and she calls herself a Reproductive Activist.

Carbonite Drops Ads from Rush Limbaugh but Not Ed Schultz?

Carbonite you ignorant slut!

http://www.redstate.com/aglanon/2012/03/04/carbonite-drops-ads-from-rush-limbaugh-but-not-ed-schultz/

snip

CEO of Carbonite, David Friend, had this to say yesterday evening following an apology from Rush:

No one with daughters the age of Sandra Fluke, and I have two, could possibly abide the insult and abuse heaped upon this courageous and well-intentioned young lady. Mr. Limbaugh, with his highly personal attacks on Miss Fluke, overstepped any reasonable bounds of decency. Even though Mr. Limbaugh has now issued an apology, we have nonetheless decided to withdraw our advertising from his show. We hope that our action, along with the other advertisers who have already withdrawn their ads, will ultimately contribute to a more civilized public discourse.

snip

I asked them on twitter and on FaceBook why the difference in treatment and so far haven’t gotten a reply.

In the twitter verse, fellow non-Carbonite user Amish Dude pointed me to one possible reason.

What’s this you ask? Oh, that’s a donation to Barack Obama’s campaign courtesy of OpenSecrets.org.

It’s all starting to make sense now isn’t it? He doesn’t mind Schultz because he agrees with him.

Enjoy obscurity Mr. Friend. I’m sure the trade of 20 million listeners vs 2 million listeners will be looked at as a super duper decision at your next shareholders meeting.

snip

Mr David Friend donated 2k to Obama campaign :uhoh: see link

One wonders if Hannity and Levin will drop Carbonite advertising in support of Rush ?

Does Carbonite have a competitor ?

It's the same old media double standard...

And we keep trying to play fair...

But the game is rigged...

A seemingly never ending circle for Republicans...

Remember all the things said about conservatives?
Remember the "Sarah Palin is a C**t" shirts?

When Rush spoke about Fluke, I thought he was illustrating absurdity with absurdity. Since what has been said about Sarah Palin and other conserative women seems to be the "new normal", what Rush said about Fluke is part of the "new normal", of course.

One has to wonder what Obama has promised some of these advertisers.

Well I guess we will hear lots of Tea Ads.

Rush will survive. He is probably worth half a billion. Companies are foolish, it now gives him a counter way of attacking.

Or a few more parodies for a while. Advertisers well eventually come back. But most stations are not going to remove him from their rotation. And in the markets that does happen another station well likely pick him up. Locally people well continue to advertise on Rush as well. There may be a few that leave but others well take their place.

Also if this was going to happen it was a good time for it to happen. Don't think there is going to be a shortage of people advertising this election season.

I suggest we tune into Rush tomorrow 12:00 - 1:30 or so Eastern and give him ratings - and you know it will be interesting.

I concur with Longstop and Abb on Carbonlight and these other losers.

Beck exposed that it was a group related to Sharpton and Acorn that was going after Advertisers, IIRC.

Derek Hunter's Response:

Big Journalism: Progressives Target Rush Limbaugh Over SlutGate

Some advertisers have dropped the Rush Limbaugh show over this, at least for now. Companies like Legal Zoom and Sleep Train Mattress Centers caved to pressure from the flying monkey brigade. Pro-Flowers, which I use (or at least used to, depending upon whether or not they cave), is considering their options. There will probably be a few more, but who cares? His apology will do little to nothing to stop it, either.

Where will they go? Progressive shows with no listeners? The Ed Schultz Show? They can throw money into a show whose host used “slut” as a personal attack, rather than to illustrate a point, with a fraction of the audience. But they have to advertise where customers are, and that’s Rush.

The people calling for boycotts aren’t listeners or customers, and we listeners and customers aren’t going anywhere. And we won’t be going to these companies that cave to lies and spin in the name of an agenda.

There was a time when conservatives would’ve taken this, just been silent. We used to take a punch and apologize for hurting the fist of the person who threw it. No more. We’re not going to take it anymore. You want to choose sides against us rather than remain neutral? You want to insult our beliefs in liberty and the Constitution? You want to side with those who would silence us? And you still want our business? HELL NO!

We aren’t your mother’s conservatives; we aren’t a sleeping giant anymore. We’re awake, we’re engaged … and we’re taking names.

And, correct me If I'm wrong, but the Dems are running out for NC Gov. the seemingly Drunk Dem Ex-Congressman that accosted the young cameraman - on tape for all to see.

Now what is worse, a public representative getting physical with someone asking about his vote, or a Radio show host's Entertainment show?

Etheridge, IIRC.
