My BS meter has completely failed from fatigue. This is but another created crisis to prevent any real dialog about the economy, impose a Marxist agenda and destroy the right of religious freedom in America. "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." This is what they want to destroy. What a complete waste of energy, bandwidth and faux outrage this contraception/Rush/slut controversy is. When are conservatives going to stop playing into the left's game? |

Sandra Fluke is being sold by the left as something she's not. Namely a random co-ed from Georgetown law who found herself mixed up in the latest front of the culture war who was simply looking to make sure needy women had access to birth control. That, of course, is not the case. As many have already uncovered Sandra Fluke she is, in reality, a 30 year old long time liberal activist who enrolled at Georgetown with the express purpose of fighting for the school to pay for students' birth control. She has been pushing for mandated coverage of contraceptives at Georgetown for at least three years according to the Washington Post. However, as I discovered today, birth control is not all that Ms. Fluke believes private health insurance must cover. She also, apparently, believes that it is discrimination deserving of legal action if "gender reassignment" surgeries are not covered by employer provided health insurance. She makes these views clear in an article she co-edited with Karen Hu in the Georgetown Journal of Gender and the Law. The title of the article, which can be purchased in full here, is Employment Discrimination Against LGBTQ Persons and was published in the Journal's 2011 Annual Review. I have posted a transcript of the section I will be quoting from here. In a subsection of the article entitled "Employment Discrimination in Provision of Employment Benefits" starting on page 635 of the review Sandra Fluke and her co-editor describe two forms of discrimination in benefits they believe LGBTQ individuals face in the work place: "Discrimination typically takes two forms: first, direct discrimination limiting access to benefits specifically needed by LGBTQ persons, and secondly, the unavailability of family-related benefits to LGBTQ families."...snipped http://mrctv.org/blog/sandra-fluke-gender-reassignment-and-health-insurance Washington Post Fluke came to Georgetown University interested in contraceptive coverage: She researched the Jesuit college’s health plans for students before enrolling, and found that birth control was not included. “I decided I was absolutely not willing to compromise the quality of my education in exchange for my health care,” says Fluke, who has spent the past three years lobbying the administration to change its policy on the issue. The issue got the university president’s office last spring, where Georgetown declined to change its policy....snipped http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/ezra-klein/post/meet-sandra-fluke-the-woman-you-didnt-hear-at-congress-contraceptives-hearing/2012/02/16/gIQAJh57HR_blog.html Sounds about right, if true. She was an Agent Provocateur. It was a set-up. Still I believe you don't call someone a "slut." Rush was right to apologize. He just swallow the bait, hook, line, and sinker His mistake was he didn't get the research on who she was. If he had he could have sunk her. Take it as a lesson. Isn't the tea party more than one person? I seem to recall many in the media getting a laugh calling them tea baggers. |

. I was rudely introduced to the term - Hate-F*ck when a liberal publication (escapes the mind) printed a list of conservative women that you would most want to Hate-F*ck. Anyone recall that? This just in : http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/will-obama-super-pac-return-misogynist-bill-mahers-million-dollar-donation_633200.html . |

fluke is a fake and a flake....credit weaselzippers Sandra Fluke Argued For Mandatory Health Insurance Coverage Of “Gender Reassignment” Surgery… You mean she isn’t your average Georgetown co-ed like Pelosi and co. billed her as? My advice for the GOP is "Stay on Target!" Obama & the Democrats want attention away from his record. Control the news. Go after his record. |

. I hear you on strategy and topic - however, Rush Limbaugh has been bringing the people stories that the Mainstream media has been blocking for years. He has been trying to shine light and fight the Media powers that be. I don't want to abandon him the first time he's in the vise. . |

. Someone coined this term - Drive-By Media. The media gets what it wants from a story and moves on leaving the Truth behind and unreported. Like Shirley Sherrod, the Drive-Bys reported she was unfairly called a Racist by unscrupltous Right Wingers editing tapes. However, in the full version of the video, it clearly shows Mrs. Sherrod saying that prevented Black Land-owners from selling their land because (to a hissing black crowd), a white man would've bought it up. That truth was left as the Drive-bys had their narrative and ran. That's what happened with Fluke - who to most is 22 and a struggling student - when Chatham's link shows she's involved in numerous Hard Left issues and is a radical, in fact. The Drive-bys are gone and the truth is left on the cutting floor. We have Rush Limbaugh to thank for putting a name to Drive-bys and their mission. . Edited by Mason, Mar 5 2012, 10:00 PM.
