Paying for Others to Have Sex

A certain segment of our population (which I won't mention by name so that we don't get strange ads popping up on this thread) will probably now claim they need free rubbers to help prevent the spread of AIDS. I mean, everyone should get in on this gravy train.

Interesting blog post at Hot Air yesterday (sorry, not able to link it at the moment) that contrasted the current administration's positions on s-e-x versus its positions on food. Very sharp contrast between the two: s-e-x? Anything goes; Food? Not so much. The current administration is very judgmental about eating.

I wasn't familiar with MISFIT POLITICS but the title of this post was enough to get my attention:

If You Ain't Got No Condoms, Take Your Broke Ass Home

The author makes a few good points and mistakenly believing that Fluke had said birth control cost $3,000 a year (not that her actual $1,000 a year figure isn't outrageous enough) went off on what I thought was a truly funny rant:

"Your student clinic, the free clinic, and even your family doctor can provide you with a prescription for the pill at such low cost, you’ll only have to skip a couple of Starbucks runs to afford it. How an educated young woman could not know this is of profound concern to me.

HOW CAN SHE NOT KNOW THIS?! Is there a super secret one-percenter form of birth control that costs $3,000 that lower-middle class schmucks like me don’t know of? Does it shoot the sperm with laser beams? Laser beams from space? Does it come in gummi bear form and also make you lose weight? Does it turn your vagina from a birth canal into a frozen yogurt dispenser? What is this amazing and expensive technology being hidden by The Man from we working stiffs?!"

What do you think Sarah Palin (and her family) are thinking?

How can there be this outrage when Palin (and her kids) have been attacked much worse? With threats of rape and violence too.

Now, they are urging the 30 yr old Fluke to sue.

Remember the articles saying how high the suspicions were that Sarah Palin had a retarded baby - and she was cruelly using her daughter as a cover story?

What must the Roves, the Bushes, the Cheneys, and the Palins be thinking.

Imagine what would have been said about Sarah and her family during a run for President?

C**t would only have been the starting point...

Does this mean Rush could not be a Rapper?

Could not be a Hip-Hop star? Don't these guys get awards for much, much worse?

I wonder would a man get this reception if he showed up, at 30, saying he would like to have more sex, but he can't afford it - and he wants the Fed. Taxpayers to buy his condoms.

He would not be treated like a 16 or 17 yr old like this woman has, I can tell you that.

Ms. Fluke was in Gender equality studies and she organized events for Gender equality. Bring on that Gender Equality then.

Bill Maher has called Palin everything there is. C&unt, "Dumb Twat, and on down the line.

The President just took a Million dollars from Bill Maher. Why no pressure for him to return it and reject Maher?

What network does Alec Baldwin work for? NBC, IIRC.

NBC David Gregory is asking Republican candidates to denounce Rush Limbaugh. Now, Alec Baldwin took to the airwaves and told the crowd they should take clubs and go with him to beat in the brains of GOP Senator Henry Hyde and his family.

Why isn't Gregory posited to denounce his colleague, Alec Baldwin.

Rush Limbaugh calls the whole thing - from Stephanopulus bizarre raising of the false banning of contraceptives narrative during the debate - on down the road - as:

WAG THE PILL

Wag the Dog was waging a Fake War to distract the Country.

Wag the Pill --- really Fits.

Bill Maher defends self.

Maher say Sarah Palin is one person, Rush Limbaugh insulted all Women!

You gettin' this?

Fox (Kristen Powers) said the same thing - Limbaugh is Misognynist for his comments, pass for Maher and all the actors attacking Palin - in terms of gang-rape and ripping vagina.

This is such a BS issue. The average cell phone service costs about 10 times what it costs to get generic birth control pills at Wal-Mart. You think this Fluke woman is doing without a cell phone? Maybe she can drop down from the unlimited data plan and have enough to cover herself and three other women for birth control.

And the whole discussion begs the question of what have women been doing for birth control up till now? Have they just done without? Prior to these Obamacare mandates, have women just rolled the dice on getting pregnant?

We all know the answer. Any woman who has really wanted the pill has used the pill since it was first introduced.

The whole notion of the left's argument is really galling to me:

A. Contraceptives cost a lot of money;
B. I need to be able to afford to have sex; ergo
C. The cost of my contraceptives needs to be shifted to someone else to pay for it so that I can continue having sex without consequences.

Geez, have we really fallen that far as a society? That society should shoulder the cost of Sandra Fluke's sex life? Should we also provide her with beer so that she can get her next conquest drunk enough to ... y'know.

The libs are once again playing their "access to health care" card. How is it that conservatives continue to allow the left to frame the debate? This is all very frustrating to me.

They should be calling this "The Affordable Sex Act." Hang a different, unflattering tag on it.
I believe that is the problem with today's youth, they have no priorities, if they want something the government should provide it. I was taught from my childhood to priortize my wants and needs, now it seems that if you can't afford your wants the government will take care of those wants. Today it seem that if I can afford my needs, housing, clothing and food, then the government will provide my wants, so I tell the government I can't pay for my house, so the government pays that and now I have the extra money for that cell phone and cable TV. This is what the country has come too, provide all you wants and dreams, the new American Dream is government will give you what you want, not what you need.
I remember in my youth busting my butt and working for what I wanted, now just ask good old Uncle Sam and he will provide it for me. No personal responsibility, no challenge, just a walk through the park with the old Uncle.

I have to add that Sandra Fluke, IMHO, is an absolute Flake job for the left. Watch she may be running for congress soon.

Ms. Fluke is 30. She's probably been on the pill for 10 years, give or take a few. In another 5 or 8 years, she'll decide that NOW is the time she wants to have a baby. Her clock is ticking. Only, then she'll have to go to an infertility specialist. She'll want us to pay for that too.
