For voters reading the AP...

Obama campaign targets Romney ties to oil

...so high gas prices are Romney's fault, or

....for those following world affairs in the mideast

Obama Blaming Israel for Rising Fuel Prices

...and if you read all the news, well, you must conclude that for one reason or another or another

...it's just NOT Barry's fault!

Was "mom" complaining about Barry - his non-drilling and Arab Spring policies - or Big Oil and Mitt?

The MSM has Obama's back! High gas prices - no biggie!

Headlines aside, $4 gas isn't that big of a deal
Crunching the numbers shows it won't be a major burden on families or the economy

What’s more, this is a payroll tax cut year. That 2 percent from our paycheck we aren’t paying to Uncle Sam goes directly to our wallets and mitigates much of the impact. A family making $50,000 per year will save $1,000 per year thanks to the cut.

Finally, we’ve grown a little more used to these prices. They just aren’t as shocking as they were a few years ago. Plus, as CNBC’s excellent car guru Phil LeBeau points out, prices have risen gradually, not suddenly like a few years ago. This gives families more time to prepare for the extra cost and alter some of their driving habits.

Yes, it gives us the opportunity to decrease the amount of other things we are consuming, week by week.

Like Food.

Secretary of the Treaury Geithner

"You have, obviously, the fear of Iran and oil prices, even though that is not hurting the economy today, people can still feel that in their pocketbook today," he said.

I guess even Timmie is hedging his bets, but really "gas prices are not hurting the economy" today?

Of course not for his chauffeured Govt Limousine & govt private jet.

That's life in the most corrupt place in the USA, DC!

I have not had quite enough time to post what I want on ENERGY. The recent news has had loads and loads of negatives on ENERGY prices, so knowing that I presume this was an effort by Barry's team to dampen the impact. I suspect the right has been dumping news on the topic and some of it has been feeding on into the MSM.

Barry is losing the "gas price" battle, he can't fool people who are reminded of it every time they fill up their tank.

U.S. Natural Gas Glut Prompting Production Slowdown

If only the smartest president ever had good reason to have known this gas would be discovered ...he could have canned the battery plants and redesigned to Volt to run on natural gas ...and sell for about half the price

...but how could he have known ahead of time???

OH

....he could have read about it!!!!

Researchers: Shale holds vast supply of natural gas

Date: Monday, February 11, 2008, 12:00am EST

A Fredonia State College professor helped unearth findings that suggest more than 500 trillion cubic feet of natural gas lies within the Marcellus black shale that stretches from New York through West Virginia.

Since 1999, geology professor Gary Lash has been studying the fracturing of rock formations. His early research on the region, aided by undergraduate students, opened the door to the larger discovery.

Natural gas supply and demand have been out of balance, she added, and price stability could result from tapping the mega reservoir.

"Generally, any time more supply is brought to market, it will help stabilize pricing," she said. "More supply could help restore that balance."
[imagine Chu using that theory at the D.O.E.]

In a prepared statement, National Fuel outlined its plans for the Marcellus Shale formation. National Fuel was the most active driller in the region last year and, through the EOG joint venture, is expecting to drill 18 wells there in 2008.

So tell me why we are not using LNG to power our vehicles? Why are we not exporting it to the overseas market where gas is much higher?

Sorry to say this again & again & again.

Marxists don't like abundance. Besides Natural gas is a fossil fuel, a much cleaner one, but still like a cross to a vampire those Marxist just don't like it.

Salazar says critics live in ‘fairy tale’ land

Interior Secretary Kenneth L. Salazar on Tuesday blasted the “world of fairy tales” that he thinks most Republicans and some oil and gas industry leaders live in, arguing that the Obama administration remains committed to domestic fossil fuels and any claims to the contrary are patently false.

“There is this imagined energy world, maybe a world of fairy tales, falsehoods, that we often see in Washington, D.C.,” he said during a speech at the National Press Club. “It’s a divide between the real energy world that we work on every day and the imagined fairy tale world. It’s a place where up is seen as down, where left is seen as right.”

Mr. Salazar said the fake energy world is led by House Republicans, who, along with some leading oil and gas companies and associations, fear the Obama administration’s true aim is to slow down domestic fuel production in order to appease environmentalists while redirecting taxpayer money to renewable energy sources such as wind and solar power.

snip

“In the real world, Americans are concerned about skyrocketing energy prices and an exploding federal deficit. Ken Salazar could save U.S. taxpayers a fortune if he’d just send a video around the country making the same tired speech again and again, rather than jet-setting … at taxpayer expense to help Barack Obama win re-election,” said Benjamin Cole, spokesman for the Institute for Energy Research.

During his address, Mr. Salazar touted the fact that domestic oil production on federal lands is up 13 percent since Mr. Obama became president. Figures from the federal Energy Information Administration (EIA) show that assertion to be technically true, but Mr. Salazar left out the fact that the numbers are headed in the opposite direction. Oil production on government land since 2008 is up overall, but dropped 14 percent from 2010 to 2011.

He also omitted EIA numbers showing that since 2008, natural gas production on federal lands - directly controlled by the Interior Department - has dropped dramatically, including an 11 percent dip from 2010 to 2011.

Since 2009, total fossil fuel production on federally controlled land is down 7 percent, according to the EIA.

Salazar's claims about this “world of fairy tales” is about like him stating black is white and white is black ...but I'm not sure how many people actually know the truth.

There is no other way to say this. We have traitors to the American People in our government. They are working overtime to ruin our economic freedom.

Right now we are seeing some manufacturing coming back to the USA. Why? It isn't Obama, it the low cost energy provided by LNG. Obama & his minions are trying to stop fracking, the Keystone pipeline, and anything to do with increased fossil fuel energy

His Idiotic Green Energy Plan is a Flop!

Please read Inhofe's letter

Then call your Congressman and ask that they call for Region VI Director Armendariz's resignation.
