The decision to schedule the speech that way involved quite a few I imagine. Makes you wonder if they were too busy screwing in a lightbulb to think about what might actually happen.

Five Reasons Obama’s Speech Stunt Hurts Him

5) Everybody wins except Obama, who detracted from his jobs plan by pulling stunt in first place. Problem? What problem?

4) NBC moves debate to 9pm, after Obama speech, giving Republican candidates chance to critique Obama proposals almost in real time.

3) Non-NBC networks suddenly have lots of news on a night previously expected to be dominated by NBC…

2) WH claim of ‘coincidence’ is laughable, but Obama is president, so Boehner dutifully calls joint session…

1) President reveals himself by pulling nonserious stunt on very serious topic…

I wish Boehner would point out that Obama made the same promise last year. To give us a jobs plan after his vacation.

Mark Levin just reported that Owebama will give his speech on Sept 7, from the Oval Office at 8PM. What will MSLSD do about the debate?

Well that seals the deal. It wasn't a mistake it was intentional. The White House staff knows exactly what is happening that day. They clear these events through their staffs & media contacts.

Obama is a Narcissist. My goodness we are in deep trouble.

MSNBC has a poll up asking if Obama should change the day for his speech, so far the libs voting think that Obama should not change the date. Go here to vote:

The controversy may bump attention away from Sarah Palin's major speech on Sept. 3rd. Will or won't see announce her candidacy for President?

By Shush Walshe
Aug 24, 2011 6:00amSarah Palin’s Sept. 3 Speech Will Be ‘Major,’ but Will It Be the Big One?
ABC News’ Shushannah Walshe (@shushwalshe) and Sheila Marikar (@sheilaym) report:

"With Sarah Palin’s next Iowa visit mere days away, the will-she-or-won’t-she frenzy is at an all time high.

The former Alaska governor will headline the inaugural event of the Tea Party of America in Indianola, Iowa, Sept. 3. That event, coupled with a new video highlighting her trip to the Iowa State Fair earlier this month, seems to indicate that she’s moving toward getting into the 2012 presidential race.

SarahPAC put out a statement Monday night warning that “DC pundits” are “citing false information that she has made a decision and set a date regarding a future campaign.”

“Any professional pundit claiming to have ‘inside information’ regarding Governor Palin’s personal decision is not only wrong but their comments are specifically intended to mislead the American public,” the statement said.

It threw cold water on the idea, most prominently brought up by Karl Rove on Fox News, that Palin’s announcement is imminent.

Sources Predict ‘Important,’ ‘Major’ Speech

Regardless, her Sept. 3 speech will be both important and news-making, sources close to Palin said. One of them said that it will be a substantive, big-picture vision of America..."

I like what Jim DeMint said -
Quote:

“If he has a jobs proposal, put it in writing, give us a cost estimate, and send it over. I want to read the bill, not listen to talking points off a TelePrompter. If he insists on playing politics by picking the night of the GOP debate, I will object to the session.”

Obama's WH failed to ask the Speaker of the House to speak before a joint session because he thinks we have a ONE branch gov. He rules all three branches of gov dontcha know?

No one wants to listen to him give one more whining and pointless speech. I didn't even listen to his inaugural speech, why would I listen to this one.
