The Guy was forced to do what he did today. He had no choice - and then he admits to only what they have him checkmated on - and he says he never used any government resources.

It's another level of lies and false denials.

One interesting note is that the Seattle woman's statement - it looks like it was crafted to cover for Weiner's previous activities - and Weiner admits contact with her after the Main Picture of his close-up. He claims the contact was to reassure her after she was being hit up by some many bloggers and outlets.

I think she was told what to say - her statement benefits Weiner and just makes more questions and queries for her.

Where is Schumer?

He came out and said Weiner was a Victim.

Kirsten Powers is on TV - she's dated Weiner, she says. She says it's between him and his wife.

"Humans are flawed."

"People always Lie"

Some gems of her 'wisdom.'

We have to let a lot of people out of jail using these standards.

Notice how suddenly they've lost the terms and phrases and about Power differential and Power inequity?

This is a just a man that lies and everyone lies, we're told.

I have yet to see any outlet report that Weiner on Video told crowds and constituents that HE wrote the Health Care Bill (Obamacare).

I think that's a little important. This is the guy that Openly and Publicly reported he wrote the Obamacare Bill.

MSNBC has a poll up on whether Weiner should resign. 69.5% say he should resign.

And AOL seems to be playing the whole thing down and is showing pictures of other politicians with their shirts off - including Obama and Reagan.

What a reference ! I think the Republicans should insist that former Congressman Lee get his seat back if all he ever showed was his torso. It sounds like Weiner was putting on his A game.

If this showing of weiners is between him and his wife, then why is everyone so upset he sent his weiner pics out to the young ladies of the west coast?

Its not between him and his wife. Its between him and the truth.

Weiner faces a cool reception from Democrats
Posted: 3:06 a.m. today
Updated: 7:55 a.m. today

WASHINGTON — Disgraced Rep. Anthony Weiner faces a cool reception from even some of his closest allies in Congress as he clings to a once-promising political career.

House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi and other members of the Democratic leadership voiced their disappointment in Weiner and pointedly urged the House ethics committee to launch an investigation to determine if the outspoken New York Democrat broke House rules. Their calls came shortly after the married Weiner's profuse public apology for "inappropriate" online exchanges with six women.

Pelosi pronounced herself "deeply disappointed and saddened."

The second-ranking House Democrat, Maryland's Steny Hoyer, called for Weiner to make full disclosure.

The cool but so-far not fatal reception from his House colleagues contrasted sharply with the fate that befell fellow New York Rep. Christopher Lee, who sent a shirtless photo of himself to a woman he met on Craigslist. Within a matter of hours of the photo being disclosed, the Republican met with House Speaker John Boehner and resigned.

House Republicans have stated there would be zero tolerance for misbehavior by members in their ranks. And even if Weiner did nothing illegal, House ethics rules state that members must comport themselves in a manner befitting their office, enough to trigger an investigation into Weiner's online social life.

And House Democrats weren't exactly circling around him in support.

The problem is not Rep. Anthony Weiner

Anthony Weiner is indeed sorry. He is sorry he got caught. But let's not kid ourselves, the tears Weiner shed today were NOT tears of shame. He was crying because he got caught. How can I say this? It is very simple. Because if Weiner was truly ashamed of what he had done, he would have resigned. But Anthony Weiner truly believes that he is MORALLY WORTHY to be 1/435th of a representative body that shapes and decides the fate of 310 million people directly, and 6.8 billion people simply by extension. Anthony Weiner still believes that he is worthy of that honor and capable of bearing that responsibility.

There is more fallout to come from this incident. The MSM tried as much as they could to cover for Weiner and this is a good article about CNN's Howard Kurtz, his sources, and the Daily KOS which is pointed out in this complete article..

Howard Kurtz and CNN Struggle Mightily to Identify ‘Reliable Sources’

I have always wondered who made Howard Kurtz the arbiter of Reliable Sources, but in Weinergate, we are reminded that Kurtz’s ability to discern them is very much in question. For that matter, so is CNN’s. It has never been a secret that the supposedly even-handed journalism maven is in reality almost too liberal to function, but if he can’t get his head screwed on straight, he might have to fork over the name of his show to someone else altogether. Hopefully Kurtz will have the decency to straighten out some of his Weinergate missteps soon and reconsider who really are “reliable sources.”

Kurtz’s history of judging Reliable Sources is staggeringly one sided and ideological. For one thing, I have frequently seen him go out of his way to profess his respect for the reliability of Keith Olbermann, of all people, not to mention the rest of the guttersnipes at MSNBC:...snipped

...On the other hand, Kurtz has waged his own personal war against Andrew Breitbart and has employed exactly the same Alinskyite tactic against him that we’ve come to expect from the Joan Walshes of the world. Kurtz has committed himself to marginalizing Breitbart, even by lying about the Shirley Sherrod scandal.

Here’s hoping he has the integrity to put some serious thought into reevaluating these sources. Hopefully so will Anderson Cooper. Kurtz had the opportunity to tally up the score on the early stages of Weinergate on last weekend’s Reliable Sources. Unfortunately, he left unchallenged, and arguably valdidated, CBS correspondent Nancy Cordes’ assertion that “Andrew Breitbart, has a history of taking Democrats out of context and smearing them.”....snipped

It has become increasing evident MSNBC, CNN, CBS, and other major media have become a mouthpiece for the Democratic Party.

This isn't over. I believe there are more revelations to come and the story of how the MSM tried to cover for Weiner is one of them.

Weiner should resign. His behavior was so perverted and arrogant that he brings dishonor upon the whole Congress-- difficult as that is to do-- and we probably know only a portion of what he has done.

He is a joke and can't be taken seriously as a Congressman. Not to mention what he could have been blackmailed about.

Weiner Told Porn Star to Lie, Offered PR Help

On June 2, Weiner emailed Lee, "Do you need to talk to a professional PR type person to give u advice? I can have someone on my team call. [Yeah, my team is doing great. Ugh]."

It's unclear if Weiner's PR team is from his Congressional staff. If so, Weiner could run afoul of House Ethics Rules as well as the law.

Weiner put on a full court press, urging Lee to lie about their relationship. On June 1, he emailed her: "The key is to have a short, thought out statement that tackles the top line questions and then refer people back to it. Have a couple of iterations of: 'This is silly. Like so many others, I follow Rep. Weiner on Twitter. I don't know him and have never met him. He briefly followed me and sent me a dm saying thank you for the follow. That's it.'"

Weiner suggested a nice touch -- some good ol' Southern charm: "And then maybe insert some y'alls in there."

On June 2, Weiner sent Lee a proposed statement she could give to the press: "I have nothing to do with the situation involving Rep Weiner. I follow his twitter feed. And for a brief time he followed me. Much has been made of the fact that I have posted about my admiration for Rep Weiner and his politics. All I can say about that is that I'm a fan of his. Rep. Weiner sent me one short direct message thanking me for following him. I have never met Rep. Weiner and he has never sent me anything innappopriate (sic) ..."

Weiner then asked Lee directly, "How's it [the proposed statement] feel?"
