Weiner’s Office Calls The Police After CBS 2′s Marcia Kramer Asks For An Interview
Embattled Congressman: I'm Done Talking About Lewd Picture On Twitter

WASHINGTON (CBSNewYork) — Congressman Anthony Weiner said Thursday he’s finished talking about the lewd photo sent from his Twitter account.

But he still wouldn’t say whether he’s the one in the picture.

So CBS 2 political reporter Marcia Kramer decided to go to his office on Capitol Hill to try to get you some answers.

You’ll never believe what happened.

Kramer tried to get an interview with the six-term New York Democrat and as a result had the cops called on her.

Kramer walked in to Weiner’s office, announced herself as being from CBS 2 in New York City and said she’d like to see the congressman. Those few words created quite the stir. Doors slammed and people pretended she wasn’t there.

Finally, brave press secretary David Arnold arrived. The following is the exchange Kramer had with him:

Kramer: “All I want is for him to say something to his constituents, the people who have to vote for him.”

Arnold: “I don’t think you can say he hasn’t said anything to his constituents. He spoke for nine hours yesterday.

Kramer: “But not to anyone in New York. You know, this is the sort of in-the-bunker in the capitol, not to anyone in New York.”

After Kramer left Weiner’s office, his staff called the Capitol Police.

Police officers asked for identification. One cop told Kramer that if she went into Weiner’s office and didn’t leave if she was asked, she could be arrested.

“If you go to an office and are asked to leave, you can be placed under arrest,” Officer Michael Miller said.

Kramer responded, “But I wasn’t refusing to leave.”

Kramer was never asked to leave Weiner’s office, but the fact that the cops were called is a clear sign that the stress of this so-called “Weinergate” controversy is taking its toll. ...snipped

I would say we had a weenie meltdown
.
:toast:

You know these people really believe in Big Government.

Does Charlie Rangel pay for a Private Parking Garage when he has the House Parking Garage?

Does Barney Frank use the Free Checking that the Senate is offered - or does he pay at Nationsbank?

Does Steny Hoyer use the Congressional Gym and Barber or does he shell out a couple of hundred dollars a month for one of the Gyms in downtown DC?

So why would Weiner PAY for a Private Lawyer when he has the FBI and Capitol Police to investigate?

WHY?

And here you see Weiner has a quick trigger in notifying Authoriites, for the most part.

The guy is Disgrace. . Pathetic and Lewd - and how would those DEMs defending him feel about a 46 yr old Congressman sending pictures of his privates to their 18-19 year old Daughters - or Sons, for that matter.

He's not going anywhere on his own - he's an egomaniac.

It seems the coverage has aligned on the track that the question of relationships with these women isn't really being pursued.

He conveniently was following them - and they were following him - the requirement for sending Private, or Direct messages.. Remember the Deleting spree? Things were being deleted for a reason.

And somehow the word of the girl that there's no affair is good enough for the media.
When was the last time a Politcian's girlfriend admitted it during the first queries?

Where we told Bill Clinton was ministering young female Interns. Yes, we were. Monica protected Bill for a long time.

I can't recall if it was posted, a matter I meant to post on, that girl wrote an article released a couple days after (date not correct at this link below).

My statement on Anthony Weiner and the lewd photo tweet

Gennette N Cordova

Friday evening, I logged on to Twitter to find that I had about a dozen new mentions in less than an hour, which is a rare occurrence. When I checked one of the posts that I had been tagged in I saw that it was a picture that had supposedly been tweeted to me by Congressman Anthony Weiner.

The account that these tweets were sent from was familiar to me; this person had harassed me many times after the congressman followed me on Twitter, a month or so ago. Since I had dealt with this person and his cohorts before, I assumed that the tweet and the picture were their latest attempts at defaming the congressman and harassing his supporters.

snip

Look how quickly it develops into a tweet that came from a person that had been bothering her before, as if that is the tweet in question throughout the media.

I sense that was written for her by someone in Weiner's office ...office of the main victim, in an article by another victim.

That's exactly what I thought - someone in Weiner's office had contacted her.

I think that statement was to cover for other things she has received from Weiner's account, they feared might come to light.

These girls were infatuated with Weiner - they viewed him as a celebrity. The Porn Star said it was like conversing with Budda or something like that.

They both deleted a lot of stuff right off the bat - deleted all their photos. That is what Christopher Lee (NY-26) did too when he got the very first question from the Media - delete all the pictures and he claimed a hack. That thing lasted hours though - he was a Republican.

So right, Mason, but isn't true that the Republicans play along to get along? Don't we need some in your face Republicans who dare the media the same way Barney Frank does?
.
Seems like the Republicans are full of people that start off thinking they can smooze MSNBC, the View Viewers, Oprah's followers, and NPR.

It seems like they all start off down that road thinking they can charm the mainstream media, it would be refreshing to get some that have the situational awareness to understand they are going to be the enemy and deal with it.

I'll just pass on the Frank comparison, because of how many of these DEMS are dangerous precisely because they have no accountability. Barney Frank has no rules in his district, Pelosi has everything sewed up no matter how much she proves her incompetence.

I know what you mean though.

Laurence O'Donnell (MSNBC) went on and on tonight about how the tweet photo did not offend him.

He then criticized Bill O'Reilly for spending 10 minutes on his show talking about Weiner's tweet.

O'Donnell is morally bankrupt.

I heard Breitbart on the radio tonight and he said there are numerous women being followed by Weiner that have worse photos from him - but again, they are faceless genital shots.

He said there are plenty of stories out there, but you can't run with them because none can be verified.

He and that Cordova girl were deleting fools for a reason.

In District, Puzzled by Weiner’s Uncertainty on Photo
By ASHLEY PARKER and TIM STELLOH

Eran Ribak just does not understand how Representative Anthony D. Weiner could not recognize whether the man in the gray boxer briefs was him or not.

“I know every photo I have on my computer, and he should know every photo he has on his computer,” said Mr. Ribak, 34, who owns a produce market in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, in Mr. Weiner’s Congressional district. “I make sure I don’t upload to my computer any photos I think are indecent, because anyone could log on and send them out.

“As a congressman, he should know better.”

Mr. Ribak waved his cellphone to show off a picture of his 2-year-old son, Josh.

“I know exactly when it was taken,” he said, as if to prove his point. “Last year at the park.”

Last weekend, a suggestive photo was sent from Mr. Weiner’s Twitter account to a 21-year-old college student in Seattle. Though Mr. Weiner quickly took the picture down, saying his account had been hacked, the picture was spotted and publicized by a conservative blogger, attracting national attention, and, after days of confusing statements, Mr. Weiner told MSNBC on Wednesday that while he had not sent out the message containing the photo, he could not “say with certitude” that the picture was not of him.

On Thursday, Mr. Weiner, a Democrat, said he had finished answering questions about the issue and intended to return to focusing on his Congressional work.

The events have captured the attention of the news media and the political world for the past six days. And in Mr. Weiner’s district, which stretches across portions of Brooklyn and Queens, his constituents said they were exasperated, confused and more than a little amused. In a series of interviews around the district on Thursday, one sentiment was expressed more than any other: residents were skeptical that their congressman could not recognize a pair of gray boxer briefs.

“I would think everybody knows their undergarments,” said Cori Attias, 46, of Mill Basin, Brooklyn, who said she would be able to recognize a picture of herself based on the underwear alone. “It would be weird if he didn’t know. It’s either, ‘Yes those are my boxer briefs,’ or ‘No, they’re not.’ ”

Ana Gonzalez, 63, a vocational rehabilitation counselor in Brooklyn who voted for Mr. Weiner, said she was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

“How often has he had pictures of himself in his underwear taken, or in a bathing suit, or some nonsense like that?” she asked, as she stood waiting for the bus. “He doesn’t know.”

Ms. Gonzalez said she could not imagine Mr. Weiner’s taking such a photo — “He’s very politically savvy, he wouldn’t do this” — but she added that even if he had, Congress had more pressing issues.

“Why not focus on the real stuff — joblessness, the economy, hunger, not whether he sent a Twitter or not,” she said.

At the Cross Bay Diner in Howard Beach, Queens, supporters and nonsupporters alike seemed baffled by the congressman’s handling of the episode, which included a pair of press conferences on Tuesday in which Mr. Weiner refused to answer questions about the photo.

“For a guy who’s never had a shortage of words, he certainly does now,” said Jim LaMarca, 69, who lives in Mr. Weiner’s district, in Brooklyn. He said he was a registered Independent and not a supporter of Mr. Weiner. “If he would just come out and said, ‘Yeah, it’s me; I don’t know how it got there; I’m sorry,’ it would have been over. Instead, he’s given people a lot of logs to throw on the fire.”

JoAnne Rosina, 60, a retired librarian, and her mother-in-law, Marge Rosina, said they were supporters of Mr. Weiner. As they finished up lunch at the diner, JoAnne Rosina offered her own theory about where the image might have come from.

“I think maybe it’s an old photo that resurfaced,” she said, noting that unflattering photos of politicians often become public after they have been elected.

“But why did he put it on YouTube!” her mother-in-law shouted. (In fact, the photo was only sent out over Twitter, and Mr. Weiner says his account was hacked.)

The mere existence of the picture — which, according to Mr. Weiner himself, may or may not be of him — has raised questions among some.

“It makes me think, why would he want to take a photo of himself in his underwear, for what purpose?” asked Arlene Gilden, 78, who was shopping in a produce market in Sheepshead Bay. “It’s a little silly. If he did do it, which I don’t think he did, his credibility has cracked. If it’s something he has time to do, it’s a little sick.”

A few feet away, Joyce Vento stood inspecting produce, and in the course of a five-minute conversation, vacillated between skepticism — “He doesn’t know what he looks like?” she asked, incredulously — and understanding. Offering up a sympathetic theory, she suggested that perhaps Mr. Weiner had taken the picture “to impress his wife.”

But then, pausing to consider Huma Abedin, Mr. Weiner’s wife who is an aide to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, Ms. Vento decided she might not be impressed after all. “She’s a smart, beautiful woman,” she explained.

Morris Mosseri, 36, who works for a security company and lives in the Marine Park section of Brooklyn, said he was confident the photo was of Mr. Weiner.

“There must be such a picture of him out there, otherwise he’d say, ‘It’s not a picture of me,’ ” Mr. Mosseri said. “After Brett Favre, I thought nobody could be that dumb.”

But, he added, he doubted the photo would hurt the political career of Mr. Weiner, who has expressed interest in running for mayor of New York in 2013.

“This is America,” Mr. Mosseri said. “People forgive and forget.”

O'Donnell is morally bankrupt.
And crazy.

He is a man driven by his disdain for those who do not share his own beliefs and convictions. It must be mentally exhausting to base one's life on hatred and envy.

O'Donnell believes he is morally and intellectually superior to 99.9% of the population and and is worshipped by said population because of his intellect. He is oblivious to the fact that he is one big joke to those he feels should sting at his rebuke. IOW, he doesn't know we laugh at him, not with him.

It is not the picture in and of itself, God knows there are worse pictures to be found on the internet.

It is the behavior surrounding the picture. Who, other than an adolescent boy would take such a picture of himself and send it to someone. Maybe a 45 year old man engaged in overtly sexual flirtations with women (porn stars and high school girls included) in the internet? Maybe a 45 year old man looking for a good time?

If Weiner filed a complaint, his internet history would have to be examined in search of any breaches. Correct? Would his hard drive be needed? Like that will ever happen.

Giving consideration for all the pic's deleted on accounts, I suspect the absence of "certitude" results from him NOT knowing if all he had sent pic's to over time will keep that secret.

The Democratic Party says it's a Private Matter.

If this is a Private Matter, that kind of puts a nail in the heart of sexual harassment. Any boss, or Governor only needs to go home and use their account identifying themselves by title and send Pictures of their privates to female employees, customers, and acquaintances.

The exact wording was "personal matter", which translates to "private".

The limits such a statement intend to create would be a big problem for the Democratic party if there was not 2+ sets of rules to follow.

Since the allegation is that a crime took place, it's not so "personal" then.

Weiner cancels convention speech

U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner, D-N.Y., has cancelled his planned speech tonight at the state Democratic convention in the wake of a flap over a picture sent from his Twitter account.

State party officials said they told Weiner he was still welcome to attend and address delegates tonight, and left the decision to speak up to him.

"He decided to spend the weekend with his wife," said state chair Mike Tate.
