Teen's essay for campus paper exposes affair with teacher that ended in abortion when she discovered he was also sleeping with ANOTHER student A teacher, who allegedly had an affair with two students and forced one of them to have an abortion, is being investigated after one of the students spoke out claiming she is 'still scarred from the experience'. Jessica Martin, from Durham, North Carolina, wrote an essay for her university newspaper outlining in detail the lengthy affair with an unnamed former teacher of Parkland High School. She said the teacher, who she called Smith, invited her over to his house to watch YouTube videos. Parkland High School: Miss Martin was a student here when she claims to have had a year-long affair with her teacher and band director While she was there, she told him how she felt and they started kissing, almost having sex. 'After falling in love with this man and almost becoming his sexual guinea pig, I was hit with the truth. Smith and Shayna had been a couple the entire time.' After that, the two embarked in a year-long affair which culminated in an abortion and her discovery of his relationship with her best friend. The incident has now been filed with Forsyth County Sheriff's Office though no charges have been filed as yet, according to the Winston Salem Journal In the essay, Miss Martin wrote: 'Now, in my junior year at NCCU, I am still scarred by the experience. I lost my only friends and abused and embarrassed myself by sleeping with a teacher and having an abortion.' Band camp: Jessica was in band at her school when she fell in love with the band director Band camp: Jessica was in band at her school when she fell in love with the band director Miss Martin said in the essay in the Campus Echo that she was 17 at the time the affair started and Smith was 24, 'fresh out of college'. He was the band director and music teacher at her school and first came to her attention two years previously when he arrived to help at her band camp. She said that she and her best friend Shayna - not her real name - spent a lot of time with Smith, 'talking sh*t, getting drunk, chilling at his house'. 'We began spending every day together,' she wrote. 'After class I was the chick in his front seat sneaking out of the campus parking lot.' It was in her senior year that things took a turn for the worst. Miss Martin ended up alienating herself from her friends and family and spent all her time with Smith, ignoring warning signs that he was also sleeping with her best friend. She wrote: 'We had sex every day, I began spending the night with him, lying to friends and family just to keep this whirlwind romance a secret. 'After falling in love with this man and almost becoming his sexual guinea pig, I was hit with the truth. Smith and Shayna had been a couple the entire time.' I HAD AN AFFAIR WITH MY HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER, BY JESSICA MARTIN 'I lay on the cold table with my legs propped up watching the doctor prepare to give me a sonogram. "Can I see it?" I fearfully asked the doctor as he pulled my baby up on the screen. He said no. I guess that was best. If I had seen the shape of the creature I was about to kill I probably would have freaked and walked out of Planned Parenthood. A few seconds passed and the doctor said he had found it. My seven-week foetus was down in the lower part of my stomach on the left side. I still feel like he was hiding in there - his little ass probably knew what was coming. The sound of the vacuum still rings in my ears almost three years later.' Source: NCCU Campus Echo Speaking about the abortion, which he made her have in the next town so they would not be caught, she said: 'I lay on the cold table with my legs propped up watching the doctor prepare to give me a sonogram. 'My seven-week foetus was down in the lower part of my stomach on the left side. I still feel like he was hiding in there - his little ass probably knew what was coming.' Jessica Martin graduated from Parkland in 2008. She is now a student at North Carolina Central University and is said to be 20 years old. According to the Winston-Salem Journal, Lisa Carl, an assistant professor of English and mass communications at N.C.C.U., said she had assigned students in her composition class a personal essay. Some students chose not to publish their stories in the Campus Echo because they were too personal. Forsyth Sheriff Major Brad Stanley said a Parkland school official told the school's resource officer about the story. The SRO contacted sheriff's detectives, and the matter was turned over to the criminal division, Major Stanley said. The teacher is thought to no longer be at Parkland High School. Miss Martin wrote in the essay that he was still with Shayna. A university spokesman told the MailOnline that Miss Martin did not want to discuss the incident further and that her parents did not know about the alleged affair. Story smells fishy to me. "almost becoming his sexual guinea pig" is a bit much, it sounds like she became his sexual guinea pig |

No parent noticed when their teenage daughter returned from these visits.. "Spent a lot of time with Smith, 'talking sh*t, getting drunk, chilling at his house'." And remember this descriptive language is a composition for an NCCU class. Edited by Joan Foster, Apr 20 2011, 04:07 PM.

I read where NCCU was raising it's entrance standards and continuation in school requirements. Maybe? |

Shame on you, Joan. Obviously you do not 'understand the black household'. Or school, apparently. ;) Hmmm, no related hits for "Jessica Martin" in either local paper. |

It's Mahrud! It is the only logical illogical answer. Sort of like Occam's Razor, Rozar Smacco |

Me too. http://www.news-record.com/content/2011/04/20/article/former_forsyth_student_writes_of_abortion_after_affair_with_teacher Lisa Carl, an assistant professor of English and mass communications at N.C. Central, said she had assigned students in her composition class a personal essay. Some students chose not to publish their stories in the Campus Echo because they were too personal, Carl said Tuesday. Carl said she knew Martin had changed two of the names in the story. She said Martin texted her to say that she regretted that she had forgotten to change the name of her high school. It's not clear whether Martin took any other liberties in the essay. An incident report filed Tuesday with the Forsyth Sheriff's Office lists only Jessica Martin's name and the name of the former teacher, with no details on what is alleged. It lists Parkland's street address as the location of the incident. Sheriff's Maj. Brad Stanley said a Parkland school official told the school's resource officer about the story "The SRO contacted sheriff's detectives, and the matter was turned over to the criminal division, Stanley said. In her essay, Martin tells how she and her best friend, whom she called Shayna, started hanging out around school with the new band director, whom she called Smith, in the girls' junior year. The current band director, whose title is music teacher, came to Parkland in 2009 after Martin left and would not have been the subject of the essay, said Helm, the school spokesman. Neither the current nor former music teacher was named Smith. |

Is it safe to say that every male should carry a "release" in his wallet and have it signed by these over zealot females who have sexual illusions of grandeur. |

Still a Newbie

It's not hard to figure out who the band director is and has been. All on the high school website. Sounds like someone made up a story, got caught, and now has to stick to her story. . . .sigh. |

I agree that this one sounds extremely fishy. The notion that she would have kept this secret despite the amount of time she was spending with the guy really stretches the imagination.
