. I didn't know Charlie Sheen had stolen a car and tried to run over a Cop. I didn't know her purposefully set fire to his house with his kids in it. And I damn sure didn't know that he stabbed a paramour to death, stole her money, and went on the lamb. All I got was the canned picture that Kbp posted when I checked her 'cast. I consider myself lucky. . |

. Funny, I remember Clakki was comparing Crystal to Brittany Spears and how she gets away with everything, but Not Crystal. These Mangum's have Stars in their eyes, I'm telling ya. . Edited by Mason, Apr 16 2011, 10:42 AM.

Mason: Let's see now, the 3 boys in Creedmore. Her First Husband and then a fiance, was it? Then 46 crazed Preppies. Then Milton Walker. Now a Dead man reported to be named Reginald Daye. The Hits keep 'a comin' Don't forget the never identified family member who "sexually abused" one of Crystal's children back in the first part of the century. While being questioned Crystal also remembered that the other child had been sexually abused by a family member (the record is not clear that this was the same family member) the previous year.Neither charge, needless to say, was ever prosecuted. One thing on which Durham prosecuttors and defense attorneys agree:Never put Crystal Mangum on a witness stand. How did Nifong plan(if Nifong does have the brains to plan ahead))to pull this slight of hand off in a court room? |

'stupid is as stupid does' The thing that amazed me most, after I was certain it was a hoax, came when Nifong did NOT shut it down following his win the the primary. He knew the defense team was way out of his league and he could allow Crystal to somehow admit it (thru him?) and still blame her substance abuse, or some other problem that drove her to make the reports, on the cultural divide he had to work with. Him NOT dropping indicated someone higher had pressure to somehow keep him going ...and get our Beth jumpin' in neck deep! |

http://www.streakingthelawn.com/2011/4/16/2115143/duke-lacrosse-tops-virginia-again-13-11 Duke Lacrosse Tops Virginia ... Again, 13-11 by Brian J. Leung on Apr 16, 2011 2:43 PM EDT in Virginia Lacrosse You know you've got something special going on when your team is 8-4 on the season and one of the favorites to reach the Final Four on Memorial Day weekend, and people are describing your season as a disappointment. Without the offense power of Steele Stanwick or the defensive acumen of Matt Lovejoy, the sixth-ranked Virginia Cavaliers fell to the ninth-ranked Duke Blue Devils, 13-11, in Durham this afternoon. It's the 10th time in 11 games that this type of headline has been printed. Virginia's only win came last season in the ACC Tournament. Virginia did a lot of things right today. They won the faceoff battle, 15 of 26, which has been a challenge all season. The Hoos outshot the Devils 39-38, though a number of those came in the final three minutes in an attempt to erase a 5-point deficit. Senior keeper Adam Ghitelman also had more saves (12) than Duke's sophomore keeper Dan Wigrizer (11). But Wigrizer probably deserves the player of the game nod, as at least four of those saves were of shots coming from point-blank range. Wigrizer was simply on fire today. Star-divide Also putting up an amazing performance for the Devils was Robert Rotanz, who put together four goals, all coming from the second half. Duke's Zach Howell and Jordan Wolf also put up two goals a piece. Together, the three accounted for 11 points. Coming up big for the Hoos was Colin Briggs, who had four unassisted goals of his own Steele Stanwick was out on a foot injury, but Chris Bocklet and Chris LaPierre each had two goals. One of LaPierre's came coast to coast, shaking off one Duke middie and shooting through several others. Rhamel and Shamel Bratton each had one goal a piece, and while Rhamel had 10 shots, only three were on goal. So in a surprising turn of events, the team that was once ranked No. 1 in the country and was folks' top pick to make it to the championship game finds themselves at the bottom of the ACC standings. Duke is 3-0, while each of UNC, Maryland and Virginia are 1-2. Obviously, no small part of that is due to Stanwick's foot injury, Lovejoy's shoulder injury, and on-and-off "team violations" on the part of Shamel Bratton. Duke and Virginia will face off next Friday in the first round of the ACC Championships. Last year, the Hoos topped Duke 16-12 in ACC tournament, going on to win the title. The game will be on at 7:30 p.m. and will be broadcast on theACC.com. The Championship Game will take place on Sunday at 3:30 and will be on Fox Sports or Raycom. You'd have to expect all four ACC teams to make the NCAA Tournament's field of 16, but Virginia's performance in the upcoming ACC tournament would help their case for a higher seed. |

http://www.newsrealblog.com/2011/04/16/arrest-of-duke-rape-accuser-crystal-mangum-exposes-the-lefts-insincerity-lies-1/ Arrest of Duke Rape Accuser Crystal Mangum Exposes the Left’s Insincerity & Lies Posted By Jenn Q. Public On April 16, 2011 @ 5:00 pm In Email,Feature,News,The Feminist Hawks' Nest | No Comments Editor’s note: Crystal Mangum, the woman who falsely accused members of the Duke lacrosse team of raping her in 2006, may now face a murder charge for the fatal stabbing of her boyfriend. This post was originally published on February 20, 2010, just after Mangum’s arrest for arson, child abuse, and attempted murder. “She was black, they were white, and race and sex were in the air.” That’s how a Washington Post columnist described the atmosphere that led to the brutal gang rape of Crystal Mangum by a group of Duke University lacrosse players in 2006. You remember, right? That was the violent, racially motivated hate crime that never happened. Mangum is in the news again, but this time she won’t find an army of race-obsessed charlatans, Marxist demagogues, and pandering politicians speeding to her defense. The Left only rolls out that treatment for struggling black single mothers when their harrowing tales bolster an ideological agenda. Pulling off the “virtuous victim of white privilege” shtick won’t be easy when Mangum faces charges of child abuse, arson, and attempted murder. Guilty or innocent, the stripper who cried wolf is on her own this time. She was only worthy of the support of Jesse Jackson, NOW, the New Black Panther Party, and the Duke University “gang of 88” as long as she was able to help weave a compelling narrative of misogyny, class warfare, racial inequity, and systemic injustice. Two weeks after Crystal Mangum falsely accused the Duke athletes of rape, English Professor Houston Baker publicly condemned the University’s “moral response to abhorrent sexual assault, verbal racial violence, and drunken white male privilege loosed amongst us.” In a letter to University Provost Peter Lange, he wrote: The lacrosse team – 15 of whom have faced misdemeanor charges for drunken misbehavior in the past three years – may well feel they can claim innocence and sport their disgraced jerseys on campus, safe under the cover of silent whiteness. But where is the black woman who their violence and raucous witness injured for life? Will she ever sleep well again? If Professor Baker and his Duke colleagues cared so much about Crystal Mangum getting a good night’s sleep, what did they do to prevent her from landing in prison on attempted murder and child abuse charges? If her race and socioeconomic status were enough to merit destroying the lives of a “scummy bunch of white males,” why did they abandon this underprivileged black woman without getting her the help she so obviously needed? Mangum was a deeply troubled woman long before she falsely accused the Duke University athletes of rape. Her history of mental illness and unsubstantiated rape and violence claims began in her teenage years, and alcohol abuse has been part of the picture as well. But that didn’t matter to the Duke faculty members who seized upon her false rape account to stir up racial animosity and resentment of “white, male, athletic privilege.” She made a convenient weapon in the race, class, and gender warfare waged by academics and abetted by the media and the reprehensible former district attorney, Mike Nifong. Malik Zulu Shabazz, national chairman of the New Black Panther Party proclaimed, “to us she is a righteous and divine woman by nature.” 88 Duke faculty members jumped to her defense (and all but convicted the athletes) in a full-page ad that described a poisonous environment of racial hatred. And of course, the Rev. Jesse Jackson showed up to highlight the plight of a black single mother terrorized by a culture of rampant racism and sexism. Mangum’s affirmative action qualifications became less valuable when evidence clearing the lacrosse players forced her to turn in her righteous victimhood card. To the Left, she was a cause, not a human being. When she couldn’t maintain the hoax, she wasn’t any less black or any less female. But she was no longer a politically useful black single mother, and thus, no longer of value to the race hustlers and class warmongers who rushed to her aid. Once Crystal Mangum outlived her usefulness as the personification of social injustice in their heavy handed race baiting immorality play, the Left moved on without apology. And Mangum returned to her troubled life as just another ex-poster child for the leftist agenda, a mentally unstable, alcohol soaked liar who was chewed up and spit out by people in a position to help stop her from ruining more lives, including those of her three young children. |

Good God... Sydney outdoes himself this time. http://justice4nifong.blogspot.com/2011/04/media-spin-shields-public-from-facts.html Saturday, April 16, 2011 Media spin shields public from facts about Daye’s death To see a Flash version of this blog with audio, click the link below. The script of the blog follows. LINK: http://www.justice4nifong.com/direc/flog/flog041511.html Because the media has been vague and mysteriously silent about Reginald Daye, the professed boyfriend of the Duke Lacrosse case victim and accuser Crystal Mangum, I have contacted some of my sources to find out what they say happened. Mainstream media will not inform the public, so you can find out by accessing this blog site. The following is based upon what I have been told, and is not firsthand knowledge. Bear that in mind. This is what I have been told, and what I believe to be true. Ever since Ms. Mangum’s arrest in February 17, 2010 on trumped up charges, she lost her apartment, job, personal belongings, and independence. In addition her father passed away while she was incarcerated and her mother, who was suffering with dementia, was placed in a nursing home. Through the kindness of friends, Crystal and her children stayed at a house of a friend, while Crystal struggled to regain her independence. She and her children moved into an apartment with Reginald Daye, a 46 year old man, eleven years her senior. On the night of April 3, 2011, Ms. Mangum and Mr. Daye got into a financial argument… she wanted to use money to pay the rent, and he had other ideas for how the money should be spent. The argument ensued and escalated, and I am uncertain as to the immediate circumstances which led to the stabbing of Mr. Daye. The media was vague about the wounds Reginald Daye received, with ABC-11 reporting that he was stabbed seven times. Some reports stated he was stabbed multiple times. Evidently the stab wounds were to the torso, but whether to the chest and/or abdomen was not clear in any of the mainstream media reports I came across. It is my understanding that Mr. Daye underwent surgery for his wounds and that his recovery was unremarkable. That by Friday, April 8, 2011, he was awake, strolling around, talking, and making plans for his release. Then, over the weekend, he unexpectedly lapsed into a coma from which he would never recover. His condition was so dire that a medical decision was made to remove him from life support. I was told that Mr. Daye may have died as early as Monday April 11th, or on Tuesday, April 12th. The media reports claim that he died the evening of Wednesday, April 13th. I was furthermore informed that it is believed that he succumbed to a massive air embolism… which suggests that someone purposely injected a large volume of air into his intravenous tubing. If this is true, then Mr. Daye was murdered, and not by Crystal Mangum because she, like Alan Gell, was incarcerated at the time of the crime. As I stated initially, I do not know if the above scenario is factual, but I believe it carries a lot of weight. Consider that the media has been hush about Mr. Daye’s condition. There was no mention of him lapsing into a coma over the weekend. Also, had Mr. Daye died of his injuries, it would most likely have occurred within a matter of days after he underwent surgery and was hospitalized. The fact that he was on the mend and ready for discharge also rules out that he died of the stab wound(s) he sustained. Finally, had Mr. Daye’s death been a proximate result of Ms. Mangum’s attack, she would already be charged with first degree murder, and it would have happened without a cabal of Durham prosecutors and police. Instead of rushing to assign a murder charge against Ms. Mangum, the Durham prosecutors and police need to obtain an autopsy report, study its findings, and move on from there. Whatever the cause of death, be it medical negligence, medical malpractice, or intentional homicide, Crystal Mangum is not responsible for the death of Reginald Daye. |

I take anything from Sydney Haar with a (large) grain of salt. In any case, let's assume that what he claims is true-- that Reginald Daye allegedly died from an air embolism, cause unknown (accidental vs. intentional). However, Mr. Daye would not have been in the hospital had Crystal not allegedly stabbed him. Again, the proximate cause of death may have been air embolism but the stabbing was the underlying cause. Crystal still bears liability if she was the stabber. The DA's office decision to wait for the autopsy would make sense, however, with regard to the severity of the extra charges against Crystal (plus it delays the need for an immediate decision until the furor dies down).
