However, I guess DA Cline is in no hurry. Crystal is locked up, and Cline would probably want to wait for the public furor to die down.
.
In Abhijit Mahato's murder, it was almost 2 months for the autopsy report.

Maybe Cline should be in a hurry. She should move to have Crystal's Bail/Bond upped on the possibility a murderer could bond out and skip out.

A non-emotional assessment may support waiting to charge, but it would also show the prudence in moving to ensure the defendant isn't let free or given an inappropriately low bail/bond.

Question the local media should ask about ...if somebody tells them to!

They're waiting to see if he died from cardiac arrest?

But I assume that the episodes of cardiac arrest were brought
on by the seven stab wounds - so what does it matter?

Multiple physical problems can occur when someone is injured and on their back in a hospital setting day, after day, after day.

He didn't have any heart attacks in the 10 days prior to stabbing attack, just saying.

IMHO delivering 7 stabs wounds indicates to me an intent to kill, at least a desire to cause serious injuries. One could reasonably assume 7 stabs depending on their severity could cause death or contribute to a medical condition that would led to death. Grabbing a knife and repeatedly stabbing a person is pretty much a deliberate act that one just can't claim, oops

Mr. Daye went to DUMC and the reports he was in serious condition. Again relying on my many years of watching Ben Casey, Dr. Kildare, Doogie Howser, M.D, ER, and House it looks like the Police & DA are doing the right actions waiting for the autopsy to affirm the actual cause of death & and answer whether the stab wounds caused or contributed to his passing.

Of course we will hear her side to see if there were any mitigating reasons, such as levitating knifes and Mountain Dew withdrawal.

I am still struck by the reality than RCD were forced to put up $400,000 cash in a rape allegation to obtain bail while Crystal, with a record, is given a bail amount of $300,000 and it hasn't been increased after her alleged action has led to the death.

Seems a little "Mahrud" like to me.

Okay boys, time to amend the complaint!!

This is what has been reported, by at least one outlet:

"Daye has been on life support at Duke Hospital since the April 3rd stabbing."

You know, man gets bit by Cobra dies 28 hours later of cardiac arrest.

Why do I suspect this is a big PR / Jury tampering episode?

Wasn't there an earlier report that the police also found a knife stuck into a sofa ?

What if an infection occurred that was life threatening as a result of the stabbing, does that mean that he didn't die of the original wound. He would not have had the infection were it not for the original stab wounds. This is straining a gnat in my opinion.

Unlike Nifong, Crystal will not run.

She is protected in Durham, and if she leaves the county, the bubble pops, and she is treated like any other two-bit criminal.

I got it now, the sofa cushion killed him in self defense!

Thank you Mr. Spellcheck. I knew it didn't look right, but no matter what I typed, it still looked incorrect. I didn't use the "g" however. Lodge Pro, you are too busy investigating to be the editor in chief.

It was the Crystal Cult that first brought up the delineation of the death of Reginald Daye and the attack by the Good Sister (Duke had ulterior motives).

Now, coincidentally, we have Woody Vann, the Durham D.A., and Media outlets reporting as if the two may be totally unrelated.

This is a strategic plan - called the Defense of Crystal Mangum.

So what would have happened if Daye had stabbed Crystal? How would the reporting be? What would the charges and bail be?
