Trash the Dead Man.

Make it about Race (Duke Lacrosse "gang-rape victim")

Play on sympathies and bias in the Jury Pool.

Vann will Spend 3 weeks eliminating Whites from the Jury.

Durm Justice Publicly Talks Tough, privately assists Crystal.

First, let me repeat the caution that Mangum is innocent until proven guilty.

Have new charges been filed yet? If not, why not?
I had the same question.

I imagine Cline had a bad night...
I expect there may be alot of discussion on how to handle this. jmo

Don't you think Cline will turn this over to the folks in Raleigh?

I think Cline’s preferred method of dealing with the case would be to keep Mangum in jail for two years then have her plead guilty to manslaughter after everyone has cooled down.

(Stuff about Hardin)

Given that several of Nifong’s assistant DAs continued to condone his actions even after he was disbarred, Governor Easley really needed to appoint a replacement who would go into that office and make everyone there justify their existence with the assumption that most of them would be fired. Instead, Easley pulled Hardin off the bench and put him back in that office to stabilize the situation.

I will tell you that the defense will be this: Crystal Mangum was doing well until those Duke lacrosse players raped and beat her. (Ask the Duke administration; they'll tell you that is what happened.)

From there, however, her life spiraled downward and she had a flashback to the rape when she stabbed Daye to death. Not everyone in Durham will buy that story, but enough will to enable her to have a hung jury, with the prosecution dropping all charges because it cannot get a conviction.

Look, a lot of people in Durham and at Duke invested everything in Crystal's hoax. They won't stop now; they'll just get more creative -- if that is possible

Indeed, when you look at the incidents prior to the lacrosse case involving the taxi and the assault on the female patron at the strip club, the lacrosse players injured her so badly that she suffers from pre-traumatic stress syndrome as well.

It was the straw that broke her heavily medicated back, really.

Jackie Wagstaff, Vince Clark and all the other enablers do not represent how Durham will react to this murder. If Jackie Wagstaff was that popular she would have been reelected to the school board and or the city council. Instead she was accused of wrongdoing and lost. But she is a loser to many backs and whites in Durham. I am sorry to be defending Durham, but it is not represented by Jackie Wagstaff. She just speaks the loudest like all radicals speak the loudest.

I believe she said the exact same words this time as she did last time mangum was in jail. She cant even be innovative enough to change her story.
Chatham, when will you and many of my friends, some of whom happen to be white, many not, rise up and vote these damnicrats out of office?

Where is the local democrat version (not loony, but centrist) version of the tea party (hot core of people who love their city) going to take back Durham?

Remember this, AP stories originate from AP members. That story/talking point was likely fed to this reporter from Durham

Name Tom Breen
Location Raleigh, NC
Bio AP reporter in NC. I cover religion, poverty, and many other things. Cuss me direct: tbreen@ap.org

The first mention of the talking point " Mother college student dancing for the first time to support her kids" came from a Durham AP release back in march 23 2006 just before Addison went public with his remarks.

Many reporters are just lazy and are all to willing to have someone just write their story line. The better one don't.

Shameful.

The AP stories will be cloned throughout the rest of the nation unless they are corrected.

They only quote one sentence from KC. IMO he probably had much more to say..but Mangum's enablers take up most of the article.

They are running to Jackie Wagstaff, Victoria Peterson, and Vincent Clark.

If they quote them, they need to report their past legal problems and their behavior in Court last time.

I think it's germane that her Enablers said the same thing about her previous boyfriend - in her trial of just 3 or 4 months earlier. A Trial where Policemen under oath stated that Crystal said she was going to Stab that boyfriend.

Once again, in their laziness, they take everything at face value. So where has Mangum been working...what jobs..laid off WHEN?

This is history repeating itself. They LOVE Sister Survivor, don't they.

"Because Nifong used her, we now understand some glaring examples of media manipulation. We know now that editors at the N&O omitted part of the accuser's statement about that night, statements "about the other dancer" that they did not deem necessary for the public to know. Because he used her, we know that the reporter from NCCU, also edited her report...to omit troubling comments about the accuser that she also had uncovered. We know that across the board, the media built a false story for us of a shy young woman, soft-voiced, and "new to dancing." They stretched language to call what she did at the house that night...a "performance obligation" to give it a sheen of respectability. They presented a story with clear villains...the "swaggering out-of-control" Lacrosse team, pictured and named on a Wanted poster versus the "Victim", sanitized in every way possible. Her criminal record, her pole dancing, her trolling strip clubs and motels, her erratic behavior...might all come out later, but, because Nifong used her...we are now aware how the media used us, especially in the important early days when outrage was peaking in Durham. How they exploited our trust and shaped the story will not easily be forgotten. Because he used her, Amanda, we won't trust press descriptions of "Victim" or "Accused" ever again. We'll remember we were duped."

I see the Criminal Enabler Club is out feeding quotes to the Media - again. This time they bring up that supposedly Crystal can't get work.

WHY SHOULD SHE WORK?

She gets Government checks for the Kids, she gets donations, she has a Fan Club that continually rouses up Cash, Hair Vouchers, Outfits, and more.

What's she going to do, buy a Car? She can't Drive.

What do you Buy for a woman that has three Drivers?

Stab charge adds to Duke lacrosse accuser's slide

By TOM BREEN, Associated Press

RALEIGH, N.C. — The label "discredited Duke lacrosse accuser" has been attached to Crystal Mangum for nearly four years since North Carolina's top prosecutor determined she'd falsely accused three players of raping her at a party. When the accusations unraveled, it marked the beginning of a slide into erratic and violent behavior. Now, a boyfriend she's accused of stabbing has died — which could land her in the most serious trouble yet.

is this a 'tax write-off' ?) yeah, right.

WHO PAID FOR THEM?
