This is from early on in the arrest when the media was trying to figure out Daye 's last name. Anthony McCullough, who lives nearby, said the victim's name is Reggie Wilson. According to McCullough, who said he's a friend of Wilson, Mangum moved in to Wilson's apartment with her children a few days after they started dating. McCullough said Mangum stabbed Wilson several times and that he is in "bad shape." http://www.wral.com/news/local/story/9377710/ |

The reason you took the case you lying bastard is to line your pockets with additional retirement income at the expense of three innocent boys. You could care less about a black girl in Durham. |

So the court appointed Woody Vann? Does anyone know when? It must have been before the death. Law Offices of Edward Falcone and H. Wood Vann http://www.mydurhamlawyers.com/ His "brilliant" commentary back in June 2006 [H. Wood Vann, a lawyer in Durham,] said Mr. Nifong could drop the case, but the political price would be high. "He'd have hell to pay from the African-American community," he said. "They'd say, 'Give her her day in court. What do you have to lose? If you lose, at least the jury made the decision.' So he's kind of stuck." http://www.nytimes.com/2006/06/12/us/12duke.html?ex=1307764800&en=8c2fdaa7416ea6bb&ei=5090&partner=rssuserland&emc=rss That is H. Wood Vann's ethical standards for a DA? |

Early on the N&O served up THIS tabloid fictional nonsense, which helped to ignite the fire :
I think the N&O owes an explanation for how they could print this (especially when in their own archives they had stories of her past) ; and when they omitted from her interview some details that could have derailed the narrative : "Mangum … said she thought the other woman hired to dance with her also had been assaulted." […] "Mangum said that although she did not witness it, she thought the second dancer was sexually assaulted but didn't come forward because she would lose her job as an escort. 'I got the feeling she would do just about anything for money,' Mangum said of the second dancer, Kim Roberts." Edited by Quasimodo, Apr 14 2011, 01:35 PM.

. Well, you see, more twists and turns. Woody, who defended the ethics of Mike Nifong and the propped up the fable called Crystal Mangum. A Hoaxster. When I found out Woody's in the Saddle, the first Question that comes to mind is, who's the Judge? Woody's import was his relationship to the D.A. and the Judge. You bought a Durham Justice Insider in Woody. If the Judge is from another area, that import is muted considerably. At that point, he may bring on Ted Williams to assist him. . Why not Georgia Goslee as co-counsel? Ted can be the investigator along with Linwood. Will Greta be covering the trial? What where's Cousin Clyde going to sit? |
