LOOKEE HERE! http://www2.nbc17.com/news/2011/apr/14/7/durham-police-crystal-mangums-boyfriend-passes-awa-ar-947226/#comments Click Here Reader Reactions Voice your opinion by posting a comment. +0-0 Posted by Cicero2 on April 14, 2011 - 7:43 a.m. The Friends of Crystal Mangum raised concerns early about the conflict in interest of Duke Hospital in medically treating this alleged victim of Ms. Mangum. They suggested that due to the University being subject to major civil liability that the alleged victim should be transferred elsewhere and treated. The organization is saddened at this lost of life. |

This is the fault of Cooper for not prosecuting her in the first place. And of Duke, for backing the Frame-up. (I'm sure they never expected it to rebound on them in this way.) But now, more than ever, the full truth has to be brought out. No more excuses from the local media (which likely were in the palm of Duke), or from Duke. Edited by Quasimodo, Apr 14 2011, 08:19 AM.

Actually, the Triangle area media - and specifically the Raleigh News & Observer - were a key participant in The Frame. I'll never believe otherwise. |

The Friends of Crystal Mangum don't give a damn about the "alleged victim". They seem perfectly content to lend their names and support to a prostitute, liar, false accuser, thief, and now killer and they have the gall to try to incriminate Duke Hospital. |

Q.A.

People normally learn how far is too far by going too-far. Mother Nature then rules how far is too-far. Durham, C.E. 2000+ exemplifies a modern case. Durham’s inhabitants go further, and further, and further. but Mother Nature has not yet ruled how far is too-far. We believe that: Levicy went too far; The 88 went too far; Nifong et al. went too far; Durham went too far; Duke Administration, led by Steel and Brodhead, went too far; and Mangum goes too far - over-and-over-and-over-again. I agree with Genny6348: I am so sorry to hear he has died. My sincere condolences to his family. What a tragedy. THIS is what a social disaster looks like. Will Mother Nature Herself now rule that Mangum’s killing of her live-in customer is too-far? Or........ ? Edited by Q.A., Apr 14 2011, 08:31 AM.

Since we all can expect the three innocent students from Duke, Reade, Colin and Dave, to be blamed for this murder, let us see how Duke responds. I, personally, would expect brodhead and Duke to defend the innocence of these students and put the blame fully on Roy Cooper, the city of Durham, Michael Nifong and the Durham police Department as well as crystal mangum. But as we all know, brodhead cannot and will not bring himself to do what is right. We will see this murder partially turn into something that is all about brodhead. It will be about his reputation and legacy. Well, as the saying goes... As brodheads reputation goes, so goes the reputation of Duke University. It would be the right thing for brodhead to resign today. |

What an incredibly disrespectful slap to the deceased's family, and the medical staff who treated Daye! The Friends of Crystal Mangum knew the extent of Daye's injuries, and the treatment decisions sought by the family??? I hope their sister-survivior poster child is finally locked up for good. |

I wonder if for any reason a few that may be deposed in the lawsuits could become witnesses in this criminal case? The first to come out on Crystal's side went directly after Duke with blame. |

To avoid questions of negligence? They had been there earlier, but left before the stabbing. There ought to be reports of both calls to that address. Is there still a record of the third trip when they finally arrested Crystal? |
