http://www.wral.com/news/local/story/9380958/ Duke lacrosse accuser again charged with assaulting boyfriend Posted: 55 minutes ago Updated: 17 seconds ago Durham, N.C. — For the second time in 14 months, the Durham woman who falsely accused three Duke University lacrosse players of rape has been charged with assaulting a man with whom she was living. Crystal Mangum, 32, was charged Sunday with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. A judge set a $300,000 bond for her on Monday. Police said Mangum stabbed Reginald Daye, 46, in the torso with a kitchen knife during a dispute at 3507 Century Oaks Drive early Sunday. Daye was taken to Duke University Hospital to be treated for serious injuries, and Mangum was arrested in a nearby apartment. His condition was unknown Monday. A man who said he was Daye's nephew called 911 to report the stabbing, saying it occurred while Daye and his girlfriend were arguing about rent money. The caller said police were called earlier while the couple argued, but the stabbing occurred after the officers left. When asked about the girlfriend's identity, the caller said, "It's Crystal Mangum. THE Crystal Mangum." He then added, "I told him she was trouble from the very beginning." In March 2006, Mangum claimed three white players on the Duke lacrosse team trapped her inside a bathroom at 610 N. Buchanan Blvd., where she was performing as a stripper at a team party, and raped and sexually assaulted her. Her story about the incident was so inconsistent that state officials later declared the players innocent, saying there was no credible evidence against them. Former Durham County District Attorney Mike Nifong was later disbarred for withholding DNA evidence from defense attorneys in the case. The three lacrosse players and some of their former teammates are suing Nifong and a police investigator, claiming their rights were violated during the case. In February 2010, police arrested Mangum after an altercation between her and a different boyfriend. In that incident, she was accused of assaulting the man in front of her children and setting some of his clothes on fire. She was later convicted of child abuse, injury to personal property and resisting a public officer in the case, but prosecutors dismissed an arson charge after a jury couldn't reach a verdict. Mangum supporters said Monday that her children weren't with her early Sunday. They declined to say where the children are, only that they are safe. "A lot of stuff went through my head (when I heard about her arrest), but the reality of it is, like I said, it's just hearsay," said Jackie Wagstaff, a former member of the Durham County Board of Education and the Durham City Council who is a Mangum supporter. "At this point, it's just hearsay because I don't know what the story is."

Maybe Jackie Wagstaff should offer up her home as a halfway house for Crystal. Only then might she be willing to open her eyes to the lying, manipulating, whoring wench Crystal really is. That folks is not "hearsay" as the enablers like to describe Crystal's charges. |

serious is all I know. He is under a different name at the hospital. There seems to be some confusion about what his name is. |

Mangum is an extremely dangerous crazed lunatic: "play misty for me" in real life. And she didn't call for help -- she left the guy for dead. It's hard to believe she will walk on this one. But Wagstaff continues to support her -- unbelievable. |

"Asked the whereabouts of Mangum's three children, Wagstaff said only that they're safe." Who asked? The Judge? And Wagstaff's answer was sufficient? |

veromi.com Daye, Reginald Durham, NC Relative/Associates Daye, Michael Beshan Daye, Shanita L Daye, Brenda Harris Daye, Al Sylvester Daye, Zhantia L Daye, Shanta Daye, Reginald E 46 Sarasota, FL Durham, NC (no link) Fight over hammer turns bloody; 1 man slain, co-worker wounded Herald-Sun, The (Durham, NC) - Thursday, June 12, 1997 Author: KENT E. WALKER The Herald-Sun A fight that started over a hammer turned a house-construction site bloody Wednesday afternoon, leaving one man dead and another wounded. For the second time in two days, police sectioned off a Durham shooting scene -- the city's 14th homicide this year. A group of workers were remodeling a one-story house on North Hyde Park Avenue when two of the workers began arguing, witness Reginald Daye said. Daye was also working on the house, which sits on about a half-acre city lot at 209 N. Hyde Park Ave. Daye, 33, who was on the roof when the argument began, said the victim took the suspect's hammer to do some work. The victim and suspect shortly got into a heated argument about the victim using the hammer, Daye said. The tempers continued to escalate, turning into a fistfight. Eventually, each man grabbed a weapon, Daye said. The victim allegedly grabbed a machete and cut the suspect, who then shot him with a pistol from the street in front of the house, Durham Police Sgt. A.J. Carter said. The victim grabbed the machete from a bicycle parked nearby and the suspect took a pistol out of his truck, according to police and witnesses. Carter said the suspect was standing beside his truck when the victim charged at him, swinging the machete. "(The suspect) tried to block him, but he chopped him in the arm with the machete. It laid his arm open," Carter said. The victim ran at the suspect again and cut him a second time, Carter said. That's when the suspect fired his gun, shooting the victim in the face. Afterward, the victim lay on the pavement, covered with a bloodied white sheet while a crowd gathered. Officers also found a hammer lying in the street. The wounded suspect apparently left the scene on foot. He later drove himself to the hospital. Carter said no charges were filed Wednesday. Detectives will talk to the Durham County district attorney to determine whether any charges will be filed. Daye, the co-worker who witnessed the violence, said he didn't take the fight too seriously when it began, thinking things would settle down. But once the weapons came out, Daye said he didn't think about breaking up the fight. "You don't help nobody when there's somebody with a gun," he said. After Durham firefighters hosed off the blood-stained street, after the detectives and coroner had left and after the curious onlookers cleared the scene, Daye talked somberly with the house owner and other workers. Before climbing up an old wooden ladder to collect his green tool bag, Daye shook his head in disbelief. "Here's another funeral I'm going to," he said. (snip) |

Some reports say she and the children had all moved in with this man. Of course, that other Race-obsessed idiot judge proclaimed her "A Good Mother." This is racial solidarity to the most frighting and nauseating extreme. It is willful blindness. A good Mother!! Setting fires with her kids in the house? The Black community who endorses the kind of "team spirit" that covers for this deranged sociopath to the detriment of society and her own children should hang their heads in shame. Those children are in a kind of slavery...unable to escape their circumstances and Jackie Wagstaff is making a great Overseer. |
