I understand "innocent until proven quilty". That's courtroom stuff, and it is the right way to do it. But I'm not in the courtroom, and I think that if it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, and looks like a duck, it's probably a duck. I think tht Crystal may have just cooked her own goose.

I'm not totally convinced Crystal can't pull off her act again.

The Judge was totally idiotic in calling her a Good Mother, explaining away her criminal actions, and immediately setting her free and giving her custody of her kids. I think Crystal was emboldened - she got a Harvard defense for free, got more new outfits, and was chauffeured around. The Jury seemingly bought into her victimhood thing And a stranger came through a Paid her Bail in the Name of Social Justice (and the Duke Lacrosse case).

This is from Dec 2010:

She was convicted - and during sentencing her Criminal record is germane. So the Judge knew she stole a car and tried to Run over a Cop - but he simply told the courtroom she is a Good Mother and said she had been punished enough.

This has deteriorated into another category. I'm sorry.

.
Yes. And Crystal will be feeling mighty bullet proof, too. Look for her to up the ante for her next arrest...
.
Talk about emboldened.

She thought she owned the place before.

How long will it be before doctors are called into the county jail to administer painkillers for Crystal's back pain? I suspect we will be hearing about this as early as tomorrow when she is formally charged. Hope there is video of her grand entry into court.
One might conclude that her back pain is allegedly caused by acute long term contact with a mattress most days ! :uhoh:
Judging from a few tales we've come across on activities she's undertaken in her career, I'd have to say that if she could have found a mattress more often, it would have helped her back.

While Crystal is a high profile case at this point and all of us on the board have known of her highjinks for years, Crystal represents a class of people all over this country (criminals) who are going through the criminal justice system year after year with merely a slap on the hand. Each court appearance represents a more elevated crime. It really should be called Criminal Affirmative Action.

Last night my mother called Crystal a one woman crime wave, and she's sick of hearing about all the stuff crystal does and gets away with it.

I hope she's convicted and sent to prison this time around.

It makes me want to ask Mikey how using Crusty to frame RDC for extra retirement income really worked out for him. He must have nightmares about this woman as he should.

Don't count on it.

I wish the judge orders a psychiatric evaluation for Crystal. While her mental illness does not excuse her misbehavior, she might do better in a mental institution instead of a regular jail. She needs treatment, if only for the sake of her kids.

(Good to see you, NDLax84!)

I'd love to see a rogue's gallery POSTER of the faces and words ...of all the excuses and EXCUSE-MAKERS covering for Mangum. Sort of like a "Wanted Poster"...get their names and words out there......stuck up all over Durham and Duke.

In the video on the newscast, Crystal states she was unfairly treated because of misconceived ideas about her character. Her next defense will be post traumatic stress syndrome.
