I would agree with the assessment about the women who we have had as Secretary of State. Hillary seems like a person who has little if any control.....Obama and his advisors are calling the shots at State. I cannot think of any woman in politics right now who would command the respect of (or frighten) those men in the Middle East who exercise such control over the women in their respective countries - in fact, when she covered her head in meeting with Arab leaders (this was when she was First Lady, then Senator, and then as Secretary of State) was a signal that she would be subservient. It is one thing to show respect for a religion in a house of worship - it is quite another to kow tow to dress codes when meeting supposedly as an equal when dealing with inernational issues.

That's the problem women are not and can not be equal to any man in the middle east. I like Baldo believe in equal rights for all, but you cannot deal with people that believe that women are subserviant. How could any women deal with the leaders of Iran? Now that it appears the Muslim Brotherhood is going to take over some of these countries, things for HRC can only get worse.

Given the world situation at present, I would say that having a female Secretary of State is not a particularly good call. I would also go as far as to say that at present having a female president is probably not a good idea either (much as it pains me to say that) - though my feelings on that issue are colored to a great extent because I do not see that we currently have anyone with the balls necessary to play hard and fast with those in power. A woman of that nature would find it hard to be elected here in the US in the present climate.

IMHO give me a gal who drive to the basket, can take a charge, dive for a loose ball, shoot an elk, dress it/cook it, raise four kids, dance backwards in high heels, and still look pretty.

My point could have been stated better. It takes an exceptional woman during these crazy times. HRC, Condi, and Madeline just were not the right ones for these times. They can't take a charge.

Palin's abilities are undermined by some of the actions of family members. Unfortunately a woman will always be judged by how good a job she does with her children - a man is immune from that....not necessarily fair but then life is not fair.

I hate to disagree... but I would not put these three in (or anywhere near) the same class. Condi might not be perfect (who is?), but she has the brains and the balls, and (for the most part) understands who-is-who in this world. With a more assertive president, she might have made a GREAT diplomat.

Mrs. Albright (sp?) is not at all bright. The best thing she ever did was to wear a miniskirt while visiting Arab leaders - which would look much nicer on some other woman (Condi?). Still, she refused to abide by their prehistoric, subhuman, misogynistic dress code. For that, this otherwise dumb and unpleasant woman deserves a cookie.

As for Hillary... Stupid, anti-American, defeatist, sanctimonious, ugly... I better stop before I say what I REALLY think of her!

Any religions that strictly follow Christian Scriptures have women following men. For any who sayto they believe to do otherwise makes those Scriptures living documents, with quite a bit of selective reading.

"By any measure, our system of trying detainees has been a failure. Over the course of nearly seven years, there has not been a single conviction for a terrorist act at Guantanamo. There has just been one conviction for material support of terrorism," [Obama] said in June of 2008. "Meanwhile, this legal black hole has substantially set back America's ability to lead the world against the threat of terrorism, and undermined our most basic values. But make no mistake: we are less safe because of the way George Bush has handled this issue."

Brilliant, just f...ing brilliant.

If he had brain surgery, was it to take something out or put something in? Either way I don't think it was successful. :uhoh:

Obama Falsely Blames Bridge Collapse on Insufficient Federal Spending

Tuesday, April 19, 2011
By Matt Cover

(CNSNews.com) – President Barack Obama on Tuesday misstated the reason for the 2007 collapse of a Minnesota bridge carrying an interstate freeway over the Mississippi River, inaccurately blaming it on insufficient federal spending on transportation.

In fact, the National Transportation Safety Board concluded that the "probable cause" of the bridge collapse was "a design error."

"According to the Republican budget that was passed, for example, we would have to eliminate transportation funding by a third," Obama told a townhall meeting in Annandale, Va., on Tuesday.

snip

First, he's wrong about the bridge, and then dishonest about the DOT budget. Unless they passed some law I missed, the fuel tax pays for the vast majority of the budget and may NOT be spent elsewhere.

The real BS is the fact he has direct LaHood to revise where the budgeted funds are spent at DOT. I presume Obama figures IF he spends anough of the funds on rail and bike paths, anticipating the funds budgeted for DOT from the General Funds would have to be eliminated, we'll just have to raise fuel taxes to fix the roads,

When you aren't held to account by the media for your lies, you just keep on telling them. No one is confronting Zer0 on anything he says or does. This is creating a progressively more dangerous atmosphere, wherein Zero and his cronies feel invulnerable. It's also almost a guarantee that he will be re-elected, with near total control of the media.
