Brilliant!! The only thing about history that has changed between when Obama took office and now is what has happened with him in office. Is that where we can learn a historic lesson from? Do we have better "(e)conomic analysts, economists ...collective expertise" at the WH now? Edited by kbp, Sep 1 2011, 06:43 PM.

Obama cans smog regulations. This tells us that with his economical failures he realizes this would/could be the final straw, which it also tells the country; - While he's failing at recovery, he ADMITS the regulations add restrainsts to the economy - The entire regulation process, from putting the ideas on paper to enforcing them, ADDS more government spending and employment - The industries hit with regulations face additional costs for production - Those production cost increases reduce the ability to sell products abroad and are passed along to consumers here at home The BRILLIANT ONE has himself in a pickle. The efforts to reduce regulations is great, but he had to do it to his own regulations before putting it into play because it would cost a fortune. It should shine the spotlights on the costs for everything he has done ...he admits his own plans are a failure AND he had to in order to avoid more damage. |

http://www.wral.com/business/story/10082648/ Obama yields on smog rule in face of GOP demands Posted: 6:22 p.m. today snip... But that was little consolation for many of the president's supporters. The group MoveOn.org issued a scathing statement, saying Obama's decision was one it would have expected from his Republican predecessor. "Many MoveOn members are wondering today how they can ever work for President Obama's re-election, or make the case for him to their neighbors, when he does something like this, after extending the Bush tax cuts for the rich and giving in to tea party demands on the debt deal," said Justin Ruben, the group's executive director. snip.... |

. Obama isn't the first one. Remember, the DEMS took both houses of Congress by promising to LOWER GASOLINE PRICES. How did that go? What was their plan? Green jobs and having other countries respect us? The DEMS have fraudulently coupled their Policies with business and economic benefit, when they are actually Pie-in-the-Sky, feel-good stuff that will wreck an economy that has to compete with Russia, China, and India, etc. What sense does the Global Warming punishments for the U.S. only, not our competitors nor the World's worst polluters, make? Obama can't succeed any more then the DEM Congress did on their promises and pledges on Gasoline prices. How exactly were these going to happen? They had both Houses of Congress and the Presidency - and Gas Prices went through the roof. . Edited by Mason, Sep 4 2011, 01:05 AM.

Drudge...
"....direct impact on making sure the teachers, firefighters, police officers were able to remain in their jobs." And what did those jobs produce???? "....it helped begin to turn the economy around." Projected by the CBO, and all economists I know of, to turn itself around. "....every economist you would talk to that is worth their salt acknowledges that without the Recovery Act we would not be continuing on the upswing." What "upswing"? She missed what they have had to say about the upswing of debt. "....We would still be either stuck or spiraling downward.." We are "stuck". "....the Republicans can't make up their own facts. The bottom line is the Recovery Act had an impact." The "impact" is apparent, the distorted "facts" she, herself, provides. That's evidently the 'it could have been worse' approach, with sugar on top! |

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/09/06/confidence-in-obama-slipping-to-new-lows-as-campaign-season-ramps-up/ Confidence in Obama Slipping to New Lows as Campaign Season Ramps Up President Obama's approval ratings, much like the housing market, just keep finding a new bottom. A pair of national polls out Tuesday showed the president's popularity slipping to risky levels for an incumbent seeking re-election. The new polls showed Obama with record-low approval ratings, as Americans show startling levels of pessimism with the direction of the country, the economy, Congress and Obama's presidency. One of the most foreboding figures came out of the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll. According to the survey, 54 percent think the president is unlikely to recover from his setbacks. The same poll showed Obama's overall approval at 44 percent, and his approval on the economy at 37 percent. Worse, only 19 percent think the country is going in the right direction. It's the lowest rating yet for a president who galvanized an historic coalition of supporters on a message of hope for America. snip..... Edited by Kerri P., Sep 6 2011, 04:08 PM.

Vote for me, me, me... "things would have been much worse" Meanwhile, he forgets all the time spent on Obamacare as he explains he's been "working tirelessly and non-stop" on our economy ...not to mention vacations! As for the good job issue, it is merely his "HOPE". |
